Darcwudz: u can't confuse me, the 49k he is owing his mum and dad
each which amount to 98k include his own left over 1k. so
there is no need adding his own 1k again. then the 98k + 2k
(1k paid to mum and dad each.) = 100k. i.e owe mum = 49k,
owe dad = 49k. total dept = 98k. (cost of laptop = 97k. left
over 1k). then refund made to mum and dad 1k each = 2k.
total of everything = 100k. thanks

the idea is to sum up the money to 100k .....

If you do the math like that you will get 101k

you owe your patent 49500 each not only 49k !!!!
considering the amount you used to buy a laptp.
mum: (97000/2) + 1k [you returned]= 49500
dad : (97000/2) + 1 k [your returned]= 49500
you : 1k

total = 100k
no money is lost

49+49=98
98-97=1

Since you returned 2k what you owe is 98k no longer 100k

and if you subtract the laptop from it 98k- 97k= 1k you gave yourself.

i borrowed 50,000 from and 50,000 from dad, and i returned 1000 to momm, and 1000 to dadd, and i kept 1000
dvide the remaining 97000 by 2 = 48500, Add the 1000 thousand giving to the both parents making it 49500 for each, then plus the 1000k left with you, If you share it into 2 that is 500 each it will now be 50,000 each '''' making 100,000 thousand. Simple
97000 + 2000 ÷ 2 = 49500
1000/2 = 500
then 49500 + 500 = 50,000 each
50,000 + 50,000 = 100, 0000

You didn't divide the 97k for the cloth well between them... when you divide 97k between them, each of them will be #48500 plus #100 making it #49500 you multiple by the 2 that should be #99000 plus your own #1000 making it #100000.
Hope you understood

Alright. So you're given
50k from 2 people
50 + 50 = 100
You buy a laptop of 97
You have -97 and 3
Because you've spent 97 and you have 3k left which you can easily give back
You give back 2k
You now have -97 and 1 which you keep till you can pay back but it's still with you so you're owing it because you've not given it back
So you're owing them 98k now, if you add 49 and 49 together.
Which is -97k and the 1k (-1k)
-98k
So if you are going add -98k to the 1k mathematically it means you're paying back the 1k you have kept
So -98+1= 97k which is the only money you actually spent
Saying your adding a debt with the change you haven't spent and doing it with the same symbol is wrong mathematically
It's not 99k it's 97k
