Nowadays, people want the Nigerian youth to be many things at once and yet will not allow them to be any at all this is the case in River State Nigeria
In the year 2012/2013, some set of Rivers youth who are of rivers indigene were awarded scholarship by the rssda, an agency that was set up by Rivers state Govt to carry out intervention programs in the state and budgetary allocation running up 10 billion are been provided yearly for the agency. student especially of rivers indigene are been subjected to both written and oral interview for scholarship by the agency, some awardees of the scholarship scheme were sent to Lagos,Kwara,Port Harcourt and Calarbar for A LEVEL program in schools such as Chrisland college, Cambridge college, Edwod colledge, Global college and Supreme college, Access college,Adeyemi college, Madonna college.
Upon completion of the ALEVEL program in the country few travelled, while a good number of the scholar who has secured admission in the uk,usa,hungary and Germany are wasting at home after relinquishing their studies in Nigerian university,some were in level 100,200,and 300 respectively and did not differ their admission.
In 2013/2014 another set was sent to A level school again after being awarded scholarship and are now stranded at home doing nothing after leaving their studies in Nigeria, it should be noted that 10 b was been budgeted yearly.
