INAKWANAN KU MUTANEN NAIRALAND, ? INA FATAN KUN TASHI LAFIYA?

AKIRAAPPLE, SANNUNKI DA AIKI, KUMA INA YIWA SABIN DALIBBAN MU DA MALLAMAI BARKA DA ZUWA WANNAN SHAFIN.

TRANSLATION = Goodmorning nairalanders, i hope u all wake well?
Akirapple, welldone, am also welcoming our new students and tutors to this thread.

GOOD MORNING = INAKWANA, INAKWANAN KU, TO A GROUP OF PEOPLE.

INAWUNI, GOOD AFTERNOON, AND EVENING.

GOODNIGHT= SAI DA SAFE,

YOU CAN RESPOND TO THE GREETINGS BY SAYING "LAFIYA LAU"

SANNU DA AIKI = FOR GREETING SOMEONE AT WORK.

WELCOME =SANNU DA ZUWA.

KA TASHI LAFIYA (M) =DID U WAKE WELL? its usually said after the inakwana greeting.

KE TASHI LAFIYA (F) " " " " "

INA ZAKA/ZAKI? = WHERE ARE U GOING TO?

NA DAWO = AM BACK.

Weldone! You are really a good teacher.
How do one respond to "INA ZAKA/ZAKI?"
And can one use "KAJE" in place of "INA"?

Thanks for d compliment, d response to INA ZAKA/ZAKI depend on ur answer, u can say Zani gida = am going home
Zani kasuwa= am going to d market.
Zani makaranta= am going to skool.

INA with a ? Mark means WHERE, without d? Mark can mean I AM.

Wai en makaranta suna yajin aiki ne? Sun daina zuwa makaranta

Translation = are the students on strike?
The v stop coming to skool.

I once visited Nasarawa State, and they use it as a substitute for "INA?" most times.

Don't realy know about that, but note that Nasarawa is not a core Northern state, and majority are not Hausa there.

Lol this is wrong, you can say
"Muna gaisuwa" ="Greetings" or "we are greeting"

"A gaisheku"= "greetings to you"

As to reply I'd say

"Muna amsa, da fatar ka tashi lafiya?"
Meaning
"Greetings accepted, I believe/hope you slept well"
Lol Hausa is quite easy.
