Under Saddam, jihadists were under control.
Same thing in Libya where Gaddafi kept troublemakers at bay for more than 40 years, sparing his country from the messy and deadly scenes we are seeing today.

Democracy is only a mess where the Majority are unexposed , poor value system and uncivilised while Dictatorship is a bigger mess where the one-man controlling the show become power-drunk and the sayings goes thus :

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts, absolutely !!

Democracy is still the best system of Government in a peaceful atmosphere !!!

So you mean you could trade your right just because of some religion criminals? Dictators are exceedingly corrupt and reject corrections.

Aristotle said Democracy will always be the rule of the poor over the rich because the poor outnumber the rich.

Are Libyans better off today? It is not about trading our Rights,it is about understanding that those who criticize the status quo are not always the best qualified for the job.
Also you all know that when taking a college entrance exam the failure rate is most of the time way greater than the success rate ( sometimes 30 % success ). This makes people understand how selective a university is. Curiously if this were about Democracy, the 70% who got it wrong would have been the ones who win. How smart is that?
One understands now why President Mugabe regime beats up people to teach them how to vote!!!! grin

A dictator who doesnt fear coup is best option.
He is already rich and doesnt care about how to live after his 4-8 years rule.
He doesnt need to condone corruption because the corrupt people are party leaders who can destroy his second term ambition.

Dictators aren't born but created , usually by their environments n oda circumstances.
This as has been seen was d case in these countries.
I personally don't think democracy as is bin practised in some countries is d answer...too many sub captains pursuing selfish agendas.

A Good yet Strong leader is what most countries need the world over.
