Mad Man . . . . . diversify a little before you find yourself only a 'millionaire' agian!

And why waste money in the North?

Some of that doe needs to be put to use 'down south'.

(Nigeria is slowly disintegrating)

That's the difference between you and Dangote. Before you can be a Billionaire you have to be ready to take calculated risks.
And you don't need to call him a Mad man because it's his money not yours and he can decide to give everything to charity if he desires.
Make your own doe and invest everything in the south because Dangote is a Northerner and he's at a stage of giving back to his immediate society.
Na wa for some Nigerians sha.

I don't care about him any more. Until he stops selling the shares to Arabs before I would have a look at his plans at all! I am disappointed in him for selling part of his cement shares to UAE.
I don't know why this keep itching you. You said this in the other dagote thread. There is no emotions in business, Your hatred for Arabs won't get you anywhere. The Arabs got the money and better offer so he sold it to them. And that is just $300m stake(A small stake if you ask me). Do you know the Arabs are buying up collapsing western banks in billions of dollars? There are also buying up American media house. Al Jazeera America was gotten from one of those medias. Why are you mute about this? You shouldn't care about the US also if that is the case.

The Arabs are diversifying away from oil, If Nigerians are wise they would do same. South Africa are even better investors than Nigeria(MTN, DSTV comes to mind). The Arabs know oil would still be obsolete so they are aggressively investing in banking, Airlines, Media, real estates and many different sectors. How many FDIs have Nigeria contributed to the world? All we do is sell oil and we are even importing the end products from our own oil. Dagote is putting that to an end by investing almost 9 billion dollars in a refinery in Lagos that is to be functional latest 2016.

A big obstacle to a revolution in housing in Nigeria is the crazily high cost of cement in Nigeria. And that is an area dangote can do a lot to make a difference...yet seems unwilling to make that difference.

Such a pity.

Story for the gods..

What is the issue with a Northerner (who has tons of investment down south) wanting to invest in the north? I will always respect Dangote and Adenuga 'cos their money ( and I don't care where they made them from) mostly resides in Nigerian economy and we are seeing the multiplier effects!... Go Dangote!!!!

@OP. Don't be deceived. This guy wants to use us to make more wealth. Where has he being investing before..in his bedroom? Is it not in the economy? The benefit of the investment may never reach you. All you'll hear about it is news on TV

Out of over 40million jobseekers in naija, only 180,000 people would have jobs ..very funny..minimising cost, exploiting the human labour at the expense of the poor and making more gain. He even said naija economy is very good to invest in. Of course for the rich and for his kinda business. The Nigerian unequal economy has become such a fertile ground of investment for the rich that he's so confident about it. The rich are just getting richer.

He announced it like its good news. Only wise people would know he is concerned about his pocket more than any job he could create. He's just taking advantage of the poor economy to boost his pocket. Investing $12b and preparing to get over $50b in return from a suffering economy. So funny
