Apc’s Roadmap For Job Creation. Action And Words by Nobody: 12:33pm On Oct 14, 2014
APC’s Roadmap for Jobs Includes:

APC will create 20,000 jobs per state immediately
for those with a
minimum qualification of secondary school leaving
certificate
and who participate in technology and vocational
training. APC will encourage State Governments to focus on
employment creation by matching every one job created
by the State Government
through funding with two jobs created by the Federal
Government in the same state.

Adopted from Lagos State Government, Lastma, lawma, kai, public works, lagbus and so on. All these are also replicated by local governments

Direct conditional monthly cash transfers of
NGN5,000 to the 25
million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon
demonstration
of children’s enrolment in school and immunization, to help
promote job empowerment.

Adopted from Fayemi's ekiti.

APC will establish Technology/Industrial Estates
fully equipped with ICT, power and other support across
the country to attract and encourage small-scale
technology businesses and other entrepreneurs.

Adopted from Osun Samsung ict centre.

APC will provide allowances to discharged but
unemployed Youth Corps members for 12 months while
they seek jobs or acquire training and skills for job
placement or entrepreneurship.

APC will establish plants for the assembly and
ultimately the manufacture of phones, tablets, computers
and other devices.

Adopted from osun again.
www.biztechafrica.com/article/rlgs-10m-phone-factory-soon-osun/6935/

APC will pay a guaranteed indexed-linked price to
farmers to ensure that there is always a ready market
for their produce, which will create more jobs,
agricultural related employment and sustain existing
jobs.

Provide One Meal A Day for all primary school
students that will create jobs in agriculture, including
poultry, catering and delivery services.

From osun again.

Create a scheme that provides matching funds for
businesses that have already been validated and secured
funding elsewhere, including by borrowing, if such
business will create a minimum number of skilled jobs.

APC will support training centres created for skills
acquisition or vocational training by providing
infrastructure for such institutions and matching grants
where necessary, and organize job fair and recruitment
exercises at such institutions.

From Lasg vocational programmes in all 57 lcdas.

Embark on vocational retraining and skills acquisition
for unemployed graduates, school leavers and drop-outs
emphasizing technology and construction such as
plumbers, electricians and tilers, which will feed the public
works and social housing schemes
among others.

From Lasg vocational programmes in all 57 lcdas.

Invest in large-scale public works projects, beginning
in the first quarter of the administration, including a
modern national railway system and interstate roads, to
energize our economy and create new businesses and
jobs throughout Nigeria.
Implement a social housing policy of one million low-
cost housing units in the first four years, which will
create housing and increase skilled and unskilled
employment.

Kano and lagos examples.

Promote technology transfer, including investing in
new and less expensive technologies (as in the building
of affordable homes) to create more jobs.
Make Nigeria a global hub for Internet and
telecommunications services, including outsourcing and
cloud computing, to create millions of new jobs.
Dramatically increase the number of small and
medium-sized enterprises that produce new jobs, with
industrial hubs focused on their creation and growth in
all regions of the country.

If you noticed, there isn't any bullcrap about FDI, this plain "looking inwards". Nigeria can drive its own economy.

This is what we call plan. This was what we thought PDP was capable of doing since 1999 but failed to do. PDP had the chance to turn Nigeria into African paradise but decided to enrich the few and stifle the economy. All we've been getting from PDP is the same slogan of "we are GIANT of Africa". I hate to say it but South Africa is 80 years ahead of where we like to be. PDP is Nigeria's problem. I hate to say this. PDP only runs government that benefits only 2% of the population.

Kill PDP and see how Nigeria rises again.

I can see someone's back and ready to slay without mercy!! Good one Obi. Will be back to update. Behind the wheels.

Edit:

The aforementioned programmes in the APC states are indeed laudable. But more can be done. Some of them MIGHT have their drawbacks in the sense that they are mainly socialist programs whereas the country operates a capitalist system, putting to question their sustainability . Give and take, the surest and shortest way to creating the volume of jobs we need to dig Nigerians out of the trenches of poverty that have been created (as a matter of choice and manifesto) by PDP over the years is through MASSIVE investment in infrastructure ESPECIALY in the area of electricity provision (as opposed to the retrogressive policy of privatisation by PDP). Nigerians are very resourceful and adaptable people, give them the electricity they need and sit back and watch them create jobs for themselves. After that has been done, a head on fight against corruption especially in the public sector would see this country's economy galloping ahead of SA and Egypt, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Brazil and India. It is no rocket science to get these done, just simple genuine commitment is all it takes.

Do these and we would never see able bodied youths line up under scorching sun to have their signatures and votes procured for N500!!

This is real.... In 2006, when Ogbeni came to launch his campaign in the state of Osun, he distributed some books titled "my pact with the people of Osun". In it, he said: "I will provide jobs for 20,000 youths within my first 100days in office". I laughed when I read that and I said this man must be high on something. But to glory of God, he has been able to do that.
Am sure if things like this can be done in every state, it will go a long way in reducing the unemployment in our country. I pray that Nigerians vote wisely come 2015 and restore the glory of our dear Nigeria

I tell you these are simple straight forward policies, the best part is looking inwards instead of chasing FDIs all over the place. This is not some guess work (trial and error), this policies are currently working in many Apc states.

Na so bro.... U garrit. Some mumu go come here to dey shout say na propaganda again. Even if its propaganda, and its yielding good results we all need to support them. Since I was born, I have never seen a public school structure far better than a private school. You can imagine a public school student boarding school bus to school.

The 20000 volunteer job created in Osun was a master piece and a very good perspective in solving the unemployment problem to a high level. If 36 states including FCT employs 20000 volunteers with a average stipends of minimum of 10k,note not all states are buoyant, this will create a average of 740,000 jobs directly. The training and orientation of this employed people will create another job directly and indirectly. The Tutors, their uniforms, their shoes etc will be ensured they are provided locally no matter how low quality they are. (The main issue is to encourage local production).
It should also be checked so that we would not create another moribund bureaucracy like the civil service. We should ensure they are incorporated into result oriented programs like the O'meal, O'agric, O'Transport (LASTMA) etc.
Osun state government and Lagos state have shown that we can create lots of jobs that will be another source of revenue for the state and enable the state implement the fund accrued back to the development of the state.

When people say there is no difference between both parties, i tell them to look at results, look at policies, look at those holding office for both parties. The difference is clear my brother.

I deliberately put examples there for those that like to shout propaganda. Thanks for your input bro.

Okorocha is doing a fantastic job sis, he has more or less adopted all of these policies and more. Imo State will feature more in the areas of education and health care, there is plenty to adopt from there.

In my own opinion this agenda is workable and feasible...

I just hope APC come up with credible and capable candidates...we are fed up with the level of cluelessness exhibited by some self-enriching polithievecians especially in PDP

Ogun Standard is nothing to compare with in Nigeria. APC subsidised education, distributed free textbooks. Recruited 10,000 in first three months

Expecially with the fact that these jobs generates incomes for the government, there wouldn't be much burden on recurrent expenditure. Not just employ people to lazy around in the civil service or appointing special advisers like the pdp.

Most of what u listed have been achieved by this present govt.

Nothing new here

In igbo land, there is a saying --- some promises are best known as nkwa ekwere nwanyi na elu ebe ndi na.

Which means promises made to a woman on da bed just because a brothers wants to dig in. During this process, tha mans brain is beclouded and u will hear statements such as if i go to shoe i will buy u onitsha. Instead of if i go to onitsha,i will get u a new shoe.

This analogy best describes what this omobinrinrin pasted here.

Fact but the party needs to streamline some of their policies so that people can really see like 4 or 5 common policies adopted by their states effectively. Like tuition fees, job creation, free health service, senior welfare and the meal for children policy.

Wow i didn't even know this, while states like taraba, kogi, benue can't keep teachers in school for 2 months straight without going on strike.

APC IS NOT THE SAME AS PDP.

No doubt, expecially the bolded, bad eggs are part of our society and will definitely be found in every group/party world over. What the Apc does better is that they don't present these bad eggs as candidates for elective positions unlike you know who.
