10. Courcheval Airport, France

Courchevel Airport is situated in the French Alps, France. It has a very short runway with a steep of 18.5% gradient. It is very difficult to land a flight at this airport, because of its towering mountain which makes the task for the pilots very tough, another reason is that the airport has about 6,500 altitude.
9. Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport has a distinctive roofline that evokes the Rocky Mountains. The airport was opened in 1995, and has received various awards for its effective opeations. Yet the airport is not safe for the landing of business flights. There is actually a vast underground installation beneath the airport. Also the artwork of the airport is highly bizarre, making it a bad fit for most of the flights.
8. Toncontin International Airport, Honduras

Toncontin International Airport is one of the most dangerous airports in the world. It occupies a ridge in the center of Honduras’ mountainous capital of Tegucigalpa. The airport has long been a reason of fear for the pilots and travelers because of unsafe landing on its two sides. Its runway is about 6,631 feet high, yet extremely short—thus increases the chances of accidents.
7. Tenzing-Hillary Airport, Nepal

Tenzing-Hillary Airport is situated in the Himalayas, Nepal. Previously a plane had reached there and it took the plane hours to look for the safe landing pad. This is why, the airport is considered to be one of the most dangerous and strange airports in the world. Just north of the runway of the airport is present loom mountain, and att the southern end of the runway is a precipitous drop into a valley—which make it a difficult choice for the pilots to go for it for safe landing.
6. Hong Kong International Airport

Hong Kong International Airport is located on an artificial island in the South China Sea. As we know that major international airports need great deal of safe landings, but the problem with this Hong Kong airport is that it doesn’t provide the same to the flights. In 1980, the airport project leveled hilly islands, and added about four square miles of artificial land around for creating the finishing site.

The airport was opened in 1998, and its not suitable for safe flights’ landing.

5. Congonhas-Sao Paulo Airport, Brazil

Congonhas-Sao Paulo Airport is located in Brazil, in a city of 14 million inhabitants. The airport is constructed miles away from the center of the city, landing here is cheaper yet highly dangerous. What makes it dangerous is that the airport was opened in 1936, in those days the city’s population was not high as compared to what it is nowadays. The airport poses several landing issues on the pilots, such as over-population of the city and limited area, as well as noise pollution.
4. Dubai International Airport

Dubai International Airport is yet another strange airport in the world. Its Terminal 3 is larger airline terminal, and is built in terms of floor space, covering 18.44 million square feet. Much of the terminal’s part is situated in multiple level beneath taxiway—making the airport highly dangerous. It was opened in 2008. The airport is said to have killed over 45 travelers of different flights due to its unsafe landing.
3. Gibraltar International Airport

The air-traffic of this airport highway always waits for crossing the runway of Gibraltar International Airport. Everything about this airport is extremely weird, such as massive Rock of Gibraltar that towers close to the runway and extends out into the Mediterranean Sea, and Gibraltar’s busy road—all this make the airport an unsafe landing option.
