Ever since Nigeria was declared Africa's biggest and most important economy, South Africa has had a major problem with us. I think they should get over it.

Well, at least now we know - without question - that you're a m0r0n.

It is ILLEGAL to carry huge sums of undisclosed cash into another country. That breaks money laundering laws. Why not support people doing the right thing?

Some of you complain about Nigeria having issues but never have the sense to see that you're part and parcel of the rot.

Have you been living on Mars? shocked Haven't you read all the news reports? If the 2nd $9.7 million USD cash transaction was regarded as 'money laundering,' what about the 1st transaction of $5.7 million USD? shocked

When the first transaction involving $5.7 million USD was wired to the arms dealers in South Africa, the SA government did not see anything wrong with it. They kept quiet. When that same company expected to sell the arms to Nigeria could not go through with it, and decided to return the same $5.7 million USD by wire transfer, the South African government now woke up, and confiscated the funds, citing 'money laundering' excuses.

Na who be mumu?

Abeg, make dem park well jare...! angry

Amounts far in excess of these figures are moved across borders internationally by organisations such as Travelex, MoneyCorp, American Express etc., who airlift foreign currency in cash, via sealed tagged boxes using planes, jets etc., under heavy security throughout the world on a daily basis, as part of their international currency operations. These firms are accredited by the Central Banks of various countries and the Federal Reserve Bank of US to carry out this function.

Once you have all the requisite documentation, authorisation and approvals from the Central Bank departments of the countries involved, you can move any amount, anywhere!

I thought the South African government was going to use that money to develop Township squalor though.
