NigComsat-I, can anyone tell me how you would park a satellite like you would a car? excerpt from "http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2008-11/13/content_10349614.htm" ", But on Wednesday Minister of State for Science and Technology Alhassan Zaku told journalists it had lost power and had to be "parked, like you would park a car". Or is it that we have just spent $390m on a piece of junk? This satellite was supposed to be operational for 15yrs, now, just a year after launch our learned Minister insists it is "parked like a car in space" It is not broken, but parked, |
