OML PROJECTS IN NIGERIA

OML may stand as the accronym for many slangs but in this subject, it is focused on the oil and gas industries in Nigeria. In this case, it means Oil Minning License which is given to those who want to invest in the oil sector and most porpularly, those buying the oil blocks.
OML projects in Nigeria are all over; especially in the Niger Delta and some offshore related locations. The initiative is highly welcome and expected to bring development and open up other aspects of the economy. If well managed, it should create more employment and improve the economy of the nation. Many multinations are involved in the buying while many Nigerians have come up strong in partnership to secure some viable fields for development.
The various stages and experience of some investors’ include:
1. Those searching for OML.
2. Those researching to avoid scam and fruad stars.
3. Those who have located what they want and sourcing for funds.
4. Some looking for partners and indegeonous company to partner with for local content.
5. Other in the process of buying.
6. Those maping out their entry and site preparations.
7. Buyers who are doing documentations, permits, stardard and compliance steps, etc
8. Some who have gone far; producing and facing the challenges of the teething stages of production.
9. Those who have fallen victims and are trying to survive the tragedy.
10. Few who have started well but are stuck in the middle etc.
11. Some who have bought, developed, are producing and expanding their investments.
Hydrocabon related businesses are not cheap and not simple. They involve alot of expertise, safety enforcements and prudence. OML projects are not to be done without experience. In fact, they require alot of patience and persistence.
Especially in the Niger Delta where uncountable incidences of killings, kidnaps, community violence and financial frauds have being reported, many investors have become very scared to step into this viable opportunity in Nigeria. The truth is that, any thing that has alot of profitting would definitly have alot of challenges and mountains to climb. However, no matter the challenges, for those who fight to the end, there is a gold mine to benefit from.
We have done alot of work for many investors and companies who have gotten involved in OML purchase and projects. Either directly or as part of the local content subcontractors. Some times, just as backups to finding facts, confirming documents, running errands for oversee investors, relating with community youths and chiefs towards peace and also, checking out the intergrity of some business men in the country. Based on experience, we believe we are in a position to advice on some aspects involving or relevant to intergrity, site preparation, logistics, security for visiting personels and fabrications that center on site entry.
