God bless you ymodulus for this thread! My drivers have been complaining...I never knew what they had been passing through until one close to me narrated the ordeal with pictures. Its really horrible!

Another issue that needs to be addressed is Wukari highway where there is always communal clash causing traffic.

And Oyo-Ogbomosho highway too.

The contractors need to be summoned on an open media chat so Nigerians can hear them out and know who's to blame- presidency, ministery of works or greedy contractors.

Once again, thank u for this thread, hoping it attracts the required attention

Ymodulus:
8hours of pain, 480mins of suffering, 28,800 seconds of sorrow.

I do not belief in the existence of Hell fire as religionist paints it. However I must say that if there is anything more hotter than fairy tale Hell fire, then it is the JEBBA - MOKWA ROAD from Kwara to Niger STATE. And I have been there. 22:09 Military Time, 10:09 local time, Sunday 19th of October 2014. From a cold mild beautiful sunset to a boring, regretful day. From happiness to sadness, joy go sorrow. This has been my ordeal as I ply the road heading from Lagos Down to the North via the Jebba - Mokwa Road.
Before I go on , I am Ymodulus, some call me psycho but you can call me the Man who is on the road to Hell and is yet to be out.

JEBBA Experience
I got to JEBBA around 1:49 Pm, I was excited on hearing from the driver that we are on the JEBBA - Mokwa road. Reason for my excitements are not far-fetched. 1 for the fact that I felt I was close to my final destination and secondly I have always reamt of seeing how beautiful thing road I as Paine by the Minister of Works on an AIT Raypower Show called Political Platform. Note that am an addict listener of the radio show political platform on radio fequency dial of raypower 100.5 Hz abuja. And the issue of federal roads have been one Amaechi Anakwe, has been really hitting on. He has interviewed the Minister of Works in person of Mike Onolememe an in all interview, he has been speaking wonders of major road along the federation like the Benin - Ore , Lagos - Ibadan, Kogi - lokoja, JEBBA - Mokwa road. Am not here to tell you about the kogi lokoja road, no am here to talk about the JEBBA - Mokwa road.

1. I can vividly recall The minister of Works saying the JEBBA - Mokwa road has been awards and its 80% near completion. This I heard with my 2 ears not that I was told, no. I heard it from the Minister mouth my self. I was happy and felt the Minister is working but to my greatest surprise today cleared my eyes. All the figures or percentage quoted by the Minister are all false. I am on the Jebba- Mokwa as at this Time of posting making it roughly 8-9hours all because of the Poor state of the road. What I saw with my eyes I asked if the contract the Minister said was awarded is spiritual rather than physical.
2.I cant categorically say I have seen the best of the best roads in Nigeria, I have been to 33 states in the federation this year alone and I can Boldly and categorically tell you that what I know for sure is I have seen the worst Road in Nigeria.

Acts of the Law enforcement Bodies.
If you ask me anyday i will say only Police fficers collects Bribe. But today i learnt that even the Army do, but in a big way (N500). Federal Road Safety workers all sitting and laughing eating Pop Corn and one stupid fellow asking for Bottle water from the driver. Local Vigilantes men asking for N50 or any form of tip. Boys on the road repairing the road blocking it until the driver drops some form of bribe. Let me not deviate as the acts of the law enforcement agencies are not my reason for writing this, but the state of the road and the lies been heralded by the Minister.

Solution Available
Pls does that Agbo work for Jedijedi??Drivers are going back to follow a place call Jaji. Now at Jaji they will pay some ferry me sum of N1000, after which they drive the vehicle on top of the ferry and the ferry will cross the water to the other end of the river bank and journey continues.

Lastly
I have vowed never to ply the JEBBA - Mokwa Road again in my life time. I will rather revert to the former option (flight). Its easier and no stress. Just that these days Aero airlines are acting funny. Increasing ticket fare from 25k to 36k on the queue not on their website.

Pardon me I can't write in full as am on my Mobile phone. Also forgive me of all grammatical errors as I can't screen proof at this moment. Below are some pictures I took before my phone was seized by a military officer and he deleted some photos off. I learnt a lesson never bring out your phone close to the military Dogs they are beast. Right now am at the JEBBA federal electricity generation Plant. All cars brought to a halt.
I will have to stop here my battery is 6% and the Xiaomi power bank given to me by Initialize is dead. It proved it worth today. Here are some photos. Am to upload 30photos but if they are not up to 30. Kindly know that my phone is dead. And till I get to my destination, may be Tomorrow or next I will upload more and if you hear no more from me. Then know that I died on the JEBBA - Mokwa road

My brother is beyond Goodluck Jonathan issue...that guy is one of the best if not the best president Nigeria has ever had.

Ibadan-Lagos Expressway that Obasanjo and co abandoned, GEJ came to rescue it...Apapa-Oshodi Expressway nko?

Nigeria is just too complex and corrupt to be handled by one man without other key-Nigerians' maximum support.

Goodluck is being sabotaged even by past Nigerian leaders who wants him to fail like them...and I keep wondering how Nigerians expect him to turn to a magician that will change Nigeria's long-lasting mistakes overnight.

Our brothers from the north ruled Nigeria for many decades without doing anything aside looting money for themselves and their family...no Nigerian cried fowl except for few...Obasanjo who was the next God-sent man to have turned Nigeria's misery into success never did it, instead he further spread public fund looting, political witch-hunting via EFCC, silent killing of oppositions, etc and now a man with the heart of a servant, Goodluck Jonathan comes in and all Nigerians woke up from their forever sleep to criticise and curse him daily and demanding for magic; God is watching all of us.

Goodluck Jonathan, pls keep doing the best u can and leave the rest for God, simple- when u are gone, Nigerians will start celebrating u, that's their way since 1960 of course.

As for those talking bout not voting for Goodluck come 2015, I have a message for you all- whether u vote for Goodluck or not, Goodluck has already won the election because there is no better candidate so far and I see none coming forth soonest.

Confused citizens!!

The bad state of this road has often lead to Robbers on this route from Oloru-Moro-Jebba and den to mokwa...and if u add that serikipawa Road in Niger state, u'll probably regret being a nigerian...This is y pple like us re angry with JEG that despite is cluelessness, Him and Him pple are there filling us with falsehood on a daily bases.

Every thing the op said about this road is correct, I drove through the road on september 24 , 2012 for the first and last time so far , as a result of the floooding on lokoja road that year. The road is undisputably the worst in Nigeria and I do not think any road can be worse than that. Its shock to me that the road is still in that terrible state.

That new road from Ilorin to Bode-Sadu is a disaster. From Bode-Sadu to Jebba is a death trap. Several times trailers run into small cars in an attempt to avoid potholes. Some bug trucks fall off, so many fuel tanker accidents. Before you get on that road, repent cos you might not come out alive!

But another miserable road I can confirm is the road from Okenne to Makurdi. My people, I wish I had walked that day!!

I don't know the name of the road but just board a car to Makurdi from Okene... You will be ashamed to be a Nigerian!!
It is not funny at all.
