Hello guys! We had a similar thread before but it was deleted due to Nairaland's data loss. Let's share news, tweaks, updates, apps, anything about our beloved Note 3. I hear Samsung will be pushing out kitkat 4.4.4 update to the note 3 this month. Hopefully, it's supposed to optimize battery, remove some bloats from touchwiz and some other things just like the note 4. Has anyone received this update?

I received a new firmware update some days back but I just updated it yesterday. Kids Mode has been added, there's an upgrade to Knox, the GPS button has been changed to "location". These are just the few changes I've noticed. My Antutu score has increased too. The update is over 200mb. Has anyone else received this update? |

I received the updates , but I refused to load it & yet the software updates kept coming until I canceled it. @ OgidiOlu3 , after you updated yours how effective is your phone, apps, battery life too? |

eluquenson: Apart from the slightly increased battery life, I haven't seen any major difference performance wise. |

IjogzK: You shouldn't still be on JB o. Search for the update manually from Settings->About device. |
Re: For Note 3 Users by Nobody: 11:35am On Nov 18, 2014 |
OgidiOlu3:I don't think that will work cuz N900A is an AT&T Device that was unlocked. |
Re: For Note 3 Users by nani6666: 11:41am On Nov 18, 2014 |
IjogzK: You can just download the official KitKat OS then easily flash via Odin pm software..... Or better still just root and flash a custom ROM, that's the better option |

nani6666:oga Nani and other ogas in the house. I have a problem please. There's a SM N9005 in my possession that got updated automatically from 4.3 to 4.4.2, and since then the imei has become null and baseband unknown, making it unable to detect sim/network. I read somewhere that the only solution is to back up the EFS folder of a good working phone and restore it on this faulty one. I beg u to pls help me back up your EFS folder perhaps using EFS professional software so I can restore it on this. It has to be the exact model SM N9005. I tried backing up that of SM N900 and it didn't work for it. I don't know if downgrading back to 4.3 will help fix this problem. Cheers. |

Pls how did you root your phone? I have an unlocked at&t note3, it was initially getting 4g network and browsing at amazing speed on etisalat and glo but after 6 weeks it dropped to Edge and has refused to change. When I used codes to access the network mode and changed it to WCDMA Preferred or WCDMA only I get signal but cant call or browse unless I drop it to GSM only. Its so sad to have such a powerful device and not be able to enjoy great network speed.Any help will be appreciated. sidwell: |
