Hi guys, which is better to buy in general conditions between KIA RIO 2008 or HYUNDIA ACCENT 2008, though they are similar.

They are not similar. THEY ARE THE SAME CAR!!!! Go for the Hyundai cos it is cheaper.

Sorry but my honest opinion is that they are both junk cars.

They will not last. Second of all Kia is already stigmatized but why would you buy a car that does not have air bags.

In North America it is mandatory to have air bags in new cars. Such a car is made 4 naija markets only.

I sell American cars in Nigeria and I can tell you that the KIA here all come with air bags.

On  top of it it will still cause you #1.4m plus to buy an accent.

The same company dare not do that in US or Europe.

If you must buy a Kia order one from the US instead a least you know they have air bags.

They are the same car. Hyundai is being positioned/supposed to be the upmarket version of the 2 brands, whilst Kia is the sportier version.

@Ma$e, THey are the same car manufactured in the same plant. The only differences would be cosmetic. Just pick the cheaper of the two. I also can assure you that both of them come with at least 2 airbags. Even tractors come with airbags these days Lol!

As per airbags, we have 6 Toyota Corollas (pool cars0 bought from Elizade without traces of sirbags in them, no be only Kias.

@ sojioguns, thanx for your contribution but please carry out a survey on the Kia Rios from Dana Motors and let me know if you ever find any with airbags.
I called Dana Motors and they said its from the Cerrato upwards that have airbags!

NB. I don't own an Asian car but will get my Hyundai Elantra pretty soon!

That is sooo bad. I thought all cars made in 07-08 come with airbags. But i know that all 08 corollas have airbags. As for the 07 and earlier corollas, only the 1.3 xli didnt have airbags. This is really sad

I think you should consider Geely cars. They will serve you as well as the Hyundai accent plus they cost less.

The cars are two sides of the same coin. i believe it is high time nigerians stand up against all this new cars without airbags. Are they saying nigerians dont have the right to be protected??
