Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has said President Goodluck Jonathan is the easiest sitting President in the world for any opposition party to defeat in an election. Kwankwaso, who is a presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, premised his argument on the anger, general disillusionment and disenchantment against Jonathan’s administration. The governor while speaking with reporters on Tuesday night in Ilorin, Kwara State, predicted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not last beyond 2015, having spent 16 years in power. He said: “Jonathan is the easiest sitting president to defeat in an election because of insecurity in the land. This is because the first and foremost responsibility of any government is security of the people. “You people are not in the front line and that is why you may not understand the gravity of the situation. As I speak with you some people are on the hills, in the forest, under mountains taking refuge; they are internally displaced. Just yesterday (Monday) we sent six trucks of relief materials to our people in refuge camps in Niger Republic. “Unfortunately we have leaders in this country who have divided the county along religious and ethnic lines. “All other countries are making progress but here we are being fed with statistics that cannot be verified. I think Jonathan should be happy if we unseat him because it will help him to go and rest. “Change is possible once you get the right agent of change. What has happened in Kano State for instance has never happened and what made it possible was that the people had a new governor in 2011. It was that simple. “We need people who are disciplined in Nigeria, thenationonlineng.net/new/jonathan-easiest-person-to-defeat-in-election-kwankwaso/ people who mean what they say and stick to it.” 2 Likes |

Quite inexplicable to find maggots such as these rant such trash when they have been known to stoke flashpoints that have led to these ethno-religious crises, a prime headwater to the formation of Boko haram....From sharia to the discrimination of christian northerners in the kano civil service, beyond and other facets of life in the North, dont get us started with repression of the rights of the girl child and the nonabolition of the Almajiri feudal system..As far insecurity is concerned, charity begins at the homes of Kwankwaso, his contemporaries and the Northern elites. 10 Likes |

Buhari is uneducated and has simply lost touch with modern day politics. Being an opportunist in the army is not "100%" equivalent of being educated. He will continue to see things from a narrow perspective. A man who time without number has made unguided statements that have fuel or resulted in the killings of innocent Nigerians is not fit to rule Nigeria. His analysis of Nigeria situation is not different from that of an Almajiri in the street of Sokoto and kano state. 5 Likes |

What has happened in Kano State for instance has never happened and what made it possible was that the people had a new governor in 2011. It was that simple Says the Man who was governor between 1999 and 2003, and was in charge of the state when an average of three sectarian killings taking the lives of thousands of southerners and Christians happened each year. This people really think we who experienced their deliberate inaction will forget the gruesome death of loved ones and associates. Guys I tell you wait for the candidates to emerge and then Nigerians who have suffered loss as a result of the inaction or connivance of these characters (Buhari,Kwankwaso) will remind them of the names of their loved ones who have been lost to the blood letting culture of the core north even before bokoharam became a house hold name. Not forgetting that bokoharam has compounded the situation. |

This people are deluding themselves. Do they think that Nigeria start and end up in the north? They must learn how to solve their own problem like their southern counterparts currently doing. I have never see a southern gov blaming fg for the insecurity, kidnapping, crime etc in their states |

Has there been a Nigerian President, that was defeated at the polls? Maybe the gov is recalling his defeat in 2003. How ANPP swept him aside, like a maggot. |
