I will assume anyone with GPRS service is already doing that. What are you offering differently? Once GPRS is configured correctly, one can log into any of the portals (Yahoo, MSN, gmail, etc.) to check their mail.

bossman u have to remember that not every phone has a built-in email client. again, even if u configure your phone browser to surf the net you CAN'T still open ur email box! you need a pop3 box type for that. currently, about the only service that provides that for free is gmail which you can't register for except on invitation. well no one is going to invite you anyway. what i have is a different solution which does not even require any special email configurations.

symbianDON, I agree. But, what I meant was that, since all the providers have a wap site, anyone with a GPRS connection can easily log into their email account account such as wap.yahoo.com or so, by going directly to the site. I have an email client on my phone but I do not use it for any of my emails. I just log onto their respective wap sites (gmail, yahoo, msn, etc.) to check email. And, that's probably what most people here do anyway.

bossman, i get you. though i have never tried accessing my mails via wap, i guess there must be a form of restriction. i know wap sites are actually websites configured for phone and that's where the problem is. your phone email client or third party ones like profimail are far better. u can view your attachments and even send attachments yourself. no restrictions at all.

follow the link, and u'll login into yahoomail, read mail, send mails and sign out!!!!!!!!

but the only thing is that mtn has started to charge 4 browsing (it was free before, and that was how i got all d wondaful ringtonezz in my fone)

why bother taking so much trouble to check your mail?! just one click is all it takes to read ur mails on my client anyway. you even get to read your mails when there is no SERVICE COVERAGE! believe it
