Nigeria In Danger Of Another Fifa Ban by harizonal123(m): 6:21am On Oct 24, 2014
Nigeria is in danger of another FIFA ban after a court ruled yesterday that elections that ushered in Amaju Pinnick as president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) last month were illegal.
However, the executive committee of the NFF quickly appealed the ruling.
World football governing body, FIFA have warned that should anything hinder the newly-elected NFF executive committee led by Pinnick from operating, they will move for an automatic ban for the country till the next FIFA congress in May.
But yesterday, Justice Ambrose Allagoa of the Federal High Court Jos ruled against the NFF elections held in Warri on September 30, as well as the congress preceding it on the grounds that they were against his orders.
“I have set aside all the proceedings and decisions of the Warri Extra Ordinary meeting of the 20th September and the Elective Congress of 30th September which were direct contravention of the orders of this court as granted on the 19th September,” said Justice Allagoa.
“Nobody should foist on the court a complete case of hopelessness so that the principles of law and justice can be upheld. It’s not enough to say that the order of court was wrongly made, no matter how unorthodox, it’s subsisting orders, unless set aside, remains law and must be respected.
“Defendants in this matter have not filed any counter affidavits in this court to contest the facts. There is neither motion nor Memorandum of Appearance. This is a court of Record. On this note, the court has no option to protect the integrity and sanctity of court. Court orders are not tea party. Nobody is above the law. Impunity must be stopped.”
NFF 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi said: “We have been notified of the ruling of the court, which was made in spite of our filing for a Preliminary Objection concerning the jurisdiction of the court.
“However, our lawyers have gone to work immediately the order was made. We are appealing the ruling and also filing for Stay of Execution of the order.”

Since all football related cases are handle by FIFA, let the Nigeria Court please remove her hand from any case relating to NFF. Presidents worldwide know this fact and none dare to intrude. The judiciary today contributes 75% to the problem confronting NFF. They should please stop all these incessant injunctions here and there and totally remove their hand from anything NFF. May God bless Nigeria.

Make dem ban us na! I have always been advocating for some time off competitive football so that we can build a solid team.

Spain was low key for many years until 2008, now Belgium is just coming up after some years of absence from mainstream actions.

Perhaps we should take time off and do some home work on our various national teams as well as our league and football admin in this country.

Please they should ban us. I'm in support of it! The NFF needs to become financially unattractive to the dozens of conmen and fraudsters currently parading themselves as 'football administrators' up to and including the 5tupid monkey Amaju Pinis abi wetin call - a bunch of lazy kleptomaniacs who care about nothing but how to steal money. People who prefer to steal whatever peanut handout they receive from FIFA or the sports minstry rather than work and exploit the huge Nigerian football market they are sitting on and reaping profits which will make govt allocation look like change.

Please let them ban us so that I don't have to experience the disgrace of having a national team from the world's biggest Black country of 177,000,000 coached by a white guy as if we cannot find even one Nigerian coach to do it for us.

Please FIFA ban Nigeria now!
