Her Majesty is definitely a trend setter as she becomes the first ever reigning monarch of England to send a tweet. She made twitter history at the opening of an information technology gallery at the London Science Museum and this was witness by about 600 guests celebrating the history of communications technology. The account which was activated in 2009 and is run by her Majesty’s royal aides before today that is. The tweet which was sent by 10:35 GMT has over 15,000 retweets so far.
