Football is a beautiful game no doubt. That notwithstanding some players have been so bent on making it appear dirty and ugly

I based my pick on poor disciplinary records, tactical cheating and outright disgustful acts.

So then from my own meandering experiences/researches I present to you those who have chosen to approach the beautiful game in the dirtiest of manners

LUIS SUAREZ

Where do I begin with this one self undecided

Few things can make one infamous than denying Ghana the honour of being the first African nation to make a World Cup semifinal. The fact that Suarez’s goalmouth handball happened in the first World Cup on African soil only made the situation all the worse.

To make matters worse he even shamelessly celebrated after Gyan missed the resulting penalty

Despite being a wonderfully talented player, Suarez knows how to court controversy like none other. He became public enemy No. 1 during his racism episode with Patrice Evra. His diving exploits are well-publicised leading to refs overlooking him even when he was genuinely fouled. Poor old men you wouldn't blame them

And of cause lastly his penchant for biting opponents—as both Otman Bakkal, Branislav Ivanovic and Giorgio Chiellini can testify—which has all but undermined his reputation.

He was even invited by macdonalds to take a bite of hamburger if he was still hungry after last world cup's incident

PEPE

I’m all for a bit of muscular defending, but Pepe surely takes things a bit too far.

His physical approach has often infuriated opposing fans and players. His aggression and temper have got him into trouble, not least when taking his frustrations out on Getafe’s poor central midfielder Javier Casquero; but major problems have arisen when Pepe’s approach has become nasty and cynical.

His torrid stamping on Leo Messi’s hand during Real Madrid’s defeat to Barcelona in January 2012 was beamed to an international audience. While he could usually count on the support of boss Jose Mourinho, on this occasion, the Portuguese international was forced to issue a full apology.

ASHLEY YOUNG

Poor Ashley Young has a lot of trouble staying on
his feet. Perhaps he has an enduring inner ear
infection? More likely he has a disgusting
inclination to cheat whenever the opportunity
arises. The stats speak for themselves. Young won
11 penalties in 200 Premier League games before
the end of 2012, and he's continued `losing his
balance' since then. There is nothing wrong with
winning penalties when you're genuinely fouled,
but even Alex Ferguson said he fell dramatically
for one of the penalties he won for Manchester
United in the 2011-12 season. In the 2013-14
season, he was also warned by David Moyes
about his diving. Other managers and pundits
have been less careful with their words, blatantly
calling him a cheater and diver. He has been
booked at least four times in his career for diving.

NIGEL DE JONG

Nigel de Jong is one of those players who always
puts the boot in, but somehow or other gets away
with it. In 2010 alone, he broke the legs of both
Bolton's Stuart Holden and Newcastle's Hatem
Ben Arfa.
In the 2010 World Cup final, he was on a personal
crusade to stop the magnificent Spanish team
playing football, and he even admitted after the
game that he was lucky not to be sent off after a
chest-high challenge on Xabi Alonso. He should in
the next Kung Fu Panda

This your list can't be tagged "Ever" as you only have players still in the game.
