A new chapter has been opened in the latest Nigeria football crisis as members of the Chris Giwa- led Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, board were at its secretariat on Friday in Abuja to clear the ground for resumption of duties on Monday. The Giwa-led executives secured a court order on Thursday sacking the other faction led by Amaju Pinnick. Amongst other things, the Giwa-led board stated that all committees and earlier decisions made by the Amaju-led board has been overturned including the decision not to allow Stephen Keshi to continue as the national team coach. “The NFF board reviewed and feels so strongly to sustain the out-of-contract assignment given to the technical crew of the Super Eagles led by Stephen Keshi at a very critical moment like this. Nigerians want the national team to play well, win and a pride to them” a part of the communiqué reached at the executive committee read. Keshi’s contract as Nigeria national team boss ended after the World Cup in Brazil and attempts to get a new contract fell through. He was shown the exit door on October 16 despite leading the Eagles to a 3-1 win over Sudan in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played in Abuja. Yahaya Adama, a member of the Giwa-led board stated on Friday at the NFF’s secretariat, that they remained the only legally elected executives and any other board parading itself in that light was merely wasting its time. “The board wishes to thank Nigerians who have since the court ruling been calling and identifying with us,” he said. “Like we had stated earlier, our decision not to have gone ahead to occupy the Glass House (the secretariat) since the September 19 ruling that empowered us was to allow peace. The latest decision of the court herewith has returned us to office fully from where we draw our greater resolve to save the game.”

*whistling* ..... what's the big deal about this NFF anyway? Too much controversy, you'll probably think it's the Nigerian Presidency that's on the line.
