Amongst all the present contestants for the office of the President, Atiku is the only one that have showed he is completely a detribalized Nigerian. For the sake of Nigeria's unity, Atiku sacrificed his own presidential ambition in 1999 in order to support a southerner to become President at a time which Nigeria could have broken up in the aftermath of the June 12th annulment.A southern president that later reneged on his promise to support Atiku in turn to achieve his own Presidential ambition.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar should be given a chance to help heal Nigeria. He is neither a tribalist nor a religious fanatic. Many other Nigerians that knew him personally continue to testify to the fact that he is a completely detribalized Nigerian.

Atiku is by far better prepared than Buhari for this race and it will only be good if GMB can think of the people he claims he loves and step down for a better candidate in Atiku to emerge APC's flag bearer for the good of the party and the people. He is not ready for this and we all know it.
