The teenage full-back believes Louis van Gaal’s squad is beginning to show signs of improvement and also feels they can catch league leaders Chelsea in the title race

Luke Shaw insists Manchester United are becoming a “scary team” to come up against as they threaten to hit their best form.

The Red Devils have endured an indifferent start to the campaign, with their last-gasp draw against Chelsea leaving them eighth in the table and 11 points behind the Blues at the summit.

But Shaw, who has started the Old Trafford outfit’s last four encounters, believes Louis van Gaal’s side are beginning to click, with some aspects of their performance against Chelsea hinting at them being close to their best.

“It has been a fight, but we talk in the dressing room and at training and we know we’ve still got the best to come,” he told reporters.
