Super Falcons veteran striker Perpetua Nkwocha has paid tribute to younger players in the team after they won the African Women Championship (AWC) to emerge champions the seventh time.

Nkwocha scored a goal and made three appearances to help the Falcons reclaim the trophy they lost to Equatorial Guinea two years ago. The Sunnana Sk striker went on Facebook to give kudos to the team for the effort.

“Yes we made it! Well done girls, @Azizat I told those long legs will go a long way in helping to get the trophy. Like @Oparanozie like Costa, always in good position to finish up and hardly miss chances, she started by saying. “@Ordega your form is amazing! The defenders protected the post as though they comfortably married one man and no other woman should dare come close.”

“The CAN DO spirit you girls had got us this far and collectively you made it. You all made me proud. All we can say is 'Thank You Lord!!!!! .
She went on the say that all hands must be on deck to ensure the safe return of the Chibok girls who were kidnapped since April.
