Boko Haram: Western Education Is Forbidden Or No Peace? by enitesky(f): 8:00pm On Oct 28, 2014
Understanding the meaning of the name of the dreaded and most fearful islamic sect in Nigeria, Boko Haram, may be an herculean task, if you will agree with me. Boko Haram came into
picture in the year 2009. Initially when they first started, the message they conveyed was Western education is "Haram", that is,forbidden. This they did by bombing of educational institutions, then proceeding to the
kidnapping and killing of students and youth corpers.

Certainly, this justifies the message they conveyed. But the world was taken aback when these bloody insurgents graduated from the
aforementioned to the bombing of religious institutions.

Bombing of muslim worship centers would have been okay, maybe the gods were against themselves, but the inclusion of the body of Christ sent a war message. And then we asked ourselves about the motive of the sect. Western Education is forbidden or No peace?

Only the reserved and wise person will be able to understand the operations of this dreaded sect.

Studying the timeline of activities of the sect, Borno state has the highest record of attacks.Ironically, the slogan of Borno state is "Home of peace".

So, do we say that the Boko Haram sect is against the peace that existed in Borno state and
Nigeria as a whole?

What's your take on this? Western Education is forbidden or No peace?
