Position Purpose: To organize and present accurate and detailed picture of trends, figures, analytics at

project level and program level across the VGN projects; bringing visibility and insights that translate into

action – for VGG clients and projects across our solutions in the Education, Aviation, Downstream Oil &

 Database design, development and integration using MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS and related tools

 Advanced level of writing stored procedures, reading query plans, tuning indexes and

troubleshooting performance bottlenecks

 Research and document data integrity issues on projects through the use of SQL querying or

 Provide customized ad-hoc reports by extracting data from databases using Share point control

with pivot table and chart or SQL or using Business Intelligence tools. Summarize data in

business and financial terms for all stakeholders

 Manage the interpretation of data and reports to provide decision making on trends observed

 Decides on best business design to meet reporting needs of project. Work with IT to ensure

correct understanding and implementation of the project needs.

 Document rules and processes for business intelligence or IT reports, dashboards, change

requests, projects, or other outputs; Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other

Required Experience

 Verifiable hands on experience building BI solutions with Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint and

Microsoft BI toolset.

(Candidate should give descriptions of past BI projects involvement as well as the role played on

these projects). (For candidates without hands-on BI experience, you will need to provide

parallel experiences that demonstrate ability to grasp very quickly under pressure)

 Expert knowledge level of MS SQL, SSAS, SSIS and SSRS

 Extensive ETL experience, including SSIS or other BI toolset.

 Data Warehousing experience utilizing SSAS or other OLAP toolset.

 Extensive experience with XML programming, XSLT, XSD.

 Ability to work as a member of a team, lead specialists, manage all aspects of projects, and

provide consultancy & support to users.

 Ability to succeed in fast paced environments at a high-growth company; comfortable with tight

timelines; possessing a sense of urgency.

 Minimum of 2 years programming in C#/VB .Net in an enterprise environment

 Education/Certifications

o A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Industrial

Engineering is preferred
