As at the close of business at INEC Office today, 29/10/2014, the inspection team of both parties (APC and PDP) were able to push the inspection of electoral materials and scan ballot papers up to ward 10 unit 11 of Ilesa West Local Government. Ward 10 has 13 units and the local government has 11 wards in all. The implication is that we have 2 more units and a whole ward to be through with Ilesa East Local Government hopefully by tomorrow. We may likely move to the 7th Local Government which has not been determined. The inspection reveal as usual the choice of the people as expressed on the 9th August, 2014.
Despite the bogus claim by the PDP that they are leading by a hundred thousand vote, the reality had dawn on them about the futility of their efforts at spreading outright falsehood on the purported “recounting exercise”.
The petitioner(PDP) has filed a motion dated 27th day of October, 2014 at the Registry of the Election Petition Tribunal asking the court to grant an order of inspection to allow them to complete the inspection exercise without the presence of the 1st and 2nd Respondent (APC).
They are also asking the court to grant an order against INEC to throw its office open between 8am-6pm everyday including saturday and sunday to enable the petitioners conduct inspection of the Electoral materials .
The Respondent (APC) is already in possession of the motion paper and has 7 days from yesterday to
