2) Throughout the information from the source (Punchng) Mr. Tambuwal was always referred to as "THE SPEAKER" not "THE FORMER SPEAKER" and it was never stated anywhere in that post otherwise. If your mods/OP have heard otherwise they should provide us with a link.

Is it that you can't read or you have a problem with comprehension?

The constitution is very clear and unambiguous that when a parliamentarian defects (when there are no factions in the party) from the political party that sponsored him for the election through which he became a parliamentarian, he ceases to be a member of parliament and therefore has to vacate his seat. If such be the case, Tambuwal having defected from PDP loses his seat and as you know, something can not stand on nothing. Therefore, if Tambuwal is no longer a member of the house of rep by virtue of section 68 (1) (g) of the constitution of the Federal Republic, how then can he be the speaker of a body to which he no longer belongs?

When I saw the thread, I rushed to open the link he provided. Fortunately, when I went through the write-up, I never saw anything like a former speaker there. I complained on the thread, believing the nitwit that moved the thread to the Homepage would reverse it, but till now, nothing has been done. The OP has been roaming the street of Nairaland since!

They will delete this thread soon. Seun or one of his moderators removed a post I made on a thread questioning their bias. That what's nairaland has turned to.

This is a questionable behavior - spreading falsehood and misinformation. it is a pity the mods dont verify or even comon to read the thread they wont. they amend titles and amend articles to their taste. when that starts happening just know we are heading for a down spiral.

The duty of the police is to enforce LAW and order and the constitution is the embodiment of the laws of the land. Since Tambuwal has defected and the constitution (the law) says he has list his seat in the house, it is the duty of the police to ENFORCE that. He should have known better.
