I was about to open a thread for bankers; this was borne out of a desire to have a vibrant platform where we can rub minds and exchange ideas.

Then i decided to search for related threads and noticed about 2 existing threads but this seems to be the most recent.

Let us revive this thread. Cheers!

@OP...kindly modify the topic to "A thread for Bankers" OR "Bankers, Let us Meet Here".

Stagnated promotions and stale salaries, layoffs and rumours of layoffs; that's the order of the day. At the same time, movements, connected and unconnected, thrive: for those privillegded.

let me ask why is it that bankers who have left the system voluntarily and want to come back find it very difficult to come back

Keystone and Sterling bank are currently recruiting marketers. Walk into any of the branches or regional offices and make enquiries.
As for operations not sure of sterling but keystone a no go area.

That is because some1 else has taken their position..or the position they were before they left was operations or specialised duty eg legal, credit or IT and banks makes every1 not indispensable so some1 else is always readily available..

If it was marketing they culd be taken back with promotion and higher targets.

With the recent economy downtime now it's may be difficult for operation staff 2 go on leave cos of the fear of someone else taking his place. .

Irony☺
