Ok the reason I was asking is if there is no position for a Consultant you cant be one, in the case of NHS England all Consultant are Employed by Govt in the form of NHS England.

And when you say many of your friends are Consultant, may I ask Consultant what? like I know a guy here Dr Oladikpo, he is a Consultant Psychiatrist. I also know a lady Helen McMahon, A Nurse Consultant, so what kind of Consultant are your friends?

They are all doctors and have finished their specialties and the hospitals they work in offered them consultancies in their various fields of work. So 2 answer ur questions consultants in various fields of medicine. Hope u are satisfied.

I don't realy know where he works now, I left 2007, but he used to work at Springfield hospital in Tooting Bec.It was a Mental Health Hospital.

hmm ok well down here, when you got to the GP and get accessed, you get sent to a consultant in the main hospital if you case pass the GP, so all those fields I just mentioned have Consultants.

In as much I like people to grow in their careers, I still think that the issue of consultancy is not the motive behind all these fights against doctors. The salary that a doctor earns is part of it. Everybody wants to earn the salary of a doctor. LET ME TELL YOU PEOPLE THE GENESIS OF ALL THESE PROBLEMS. Medicine has always been an elite course from time immemorial. In those days in Greece, physicians were almost like gods. As time went on, the physician must not look down a microscope, formulate drugs, rehabilitate patients, etc, thus the birth of these courses. Physicians trained them. Fast forward to the 21st century in Nigeria and other countries with weak leadership seeking reelection, and thus can easily be bullied, these people sought for their wards to study medicine, but sadly, most medical schools all over the world take just about 80-100 students yearly. It became very difficult to get it for themselves nor for their children, so they came back to the health system, to fight it and if possible cripple it if they wont be granted equal regards to a doctor, and recignised as being equal in status to a doctor. After all, that was why they wanted to study medicine in the first place which became so elusive to secure the admission, talk less of graduation. Now they can have it by a coalition to fight a war to finish against doctors. It's not fair, but sadly enough, innocent and gullible citizens cant see the campaign of terror and hate against doctors by this sadistic coalition of wicked bedfellows called JOHESU. The enlightened, righteous ones among them do not support this campaign of equality by propanganda.
