South Africa having qualified already will have only one thing to play for PRIDE.

Especially for Shakes Mashaba who said:
“I wouldn’t want to write a negative legacy for myself and you know the most important thing about a legacy … it is not what you did, but what people learnt from it,” he says.
“So if we don’t win games and we do nothing, the next people who would take over will have no pressure. That is why we appreciate where we are so the next people know what South African football is all about.
“Everyone wants to leave a mark and for this technical committee, it will be a good thing to qualify for Afcon

For Keshi there is still a lot to play for.
• The win in Congo is not enough he must win yet one more time to qualify Nigeria for AFCON
• He must win to silence his critics
• He must win to repay the Presidents trust in him

Nigeria senior national team on Sunday morning arrived Uyo ahead of their must-win crucial 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against South Africa on Wednesday.

The African Champions will host the Bafana Bafana at the 'Nest of Champions' after they amended their fast fading qualifying chances with a 2-0 demolition of the Red Devils of Congo at their backyards with Ikechukwu Uche and Aaron Samuel providing the essential lift in Pointe Noire on Saturday.

The Super Eagles returned to the country around 10pm on Saturday evening abroad from Congo via a chartered Discovery Airliner and arrived at about 1:45am on Sunday morning in the Akwa Ibom State capital city.

Those that returned with the flight were coach Stephen Keshi and his 25 players, assistant coaches, backroom staff, nine journalists and 30 supporters.

Others on board were also the chairman senate committee on sports, Ibrahim Gumba, Member of Committee on Sports in House of Representatives Mudashiru Oyetunde alongside the NFF President Amaju Pinnick.

After the victory in Pointe Noire, Nigeria move to second with seven points, while Congo dropped to third with same points but separated by goal difference.

South Africa coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba hopes to break the Nigerian hoodoo

The South Africa coach expects his boys to keep their feet on the throttle and go for a win against the Super Eagles on Wednesday
South Africa coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba has said that his side will avoid a decade run of defeat against Nigeria in the final 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game in Uyo on Wednesday.

Mashaba's men, who were held to a goalless draw by Nigeria in the first meeting in Cape Town, said despite having already secured their place at the continental event in Equatorial Guinea next year, they will not take the game lightly.
Mashaba admitted his side will face a tough challenge when they come up against the African champions who will be desperate to pick the maximum points in Uyo.

“Nigerians don’t want to lose against South Africa. That alone will make this match a tough one and we also have the assignment to break the hoodoo that we always lose when we play against them,” Mashaba told journalists after the team’s final training session in Pimville, Soweto on Monday.

“We have to go out there positive and believe we will do well. We are defending well but there are still some things we need to do, especially in the middle of the park where we are not picking opponents tight and that will cause us problems especially against a team like Nigeria which is very good in that area,” he concluded.
The encounter will be played at 6pm local time, which is 7pm South African time at the Ibom International Stadium in Akwa Ibom State.
