An Open Letter To The Senate President Of Nigeria By Fed Uni Oye Ekiti Staff. by action1: 10:01pm On Nov 19, 2014
An Open Letter to the Senate President of Nigeria on the Afflictions of the Staff of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti

The Three Hundred Million Naira that Prof. C. Nebo, current Minister of Power and Steel took from Federal University Oye –Ekiti.

The Thursday that preceded the visit of Mr. President
to Ekiti State for the commissioning of the Faculty of
Engineering in Afe-Babalola University and the power
plant in Ondo State, someone called Jude Eze called
our attention to the sum of Three Hundred Million
Naira that Prof. C. Nebo took from the account of the
Federal University Oye –Ekiti on the platform of the
Radio Programme call public compliant.
Mr. Senate President Sir, up till now, nothing has
been done on this issue. The extension of the evil
conducts of Prof. C. Nebo, the present minister for
power, is conspicuously obvious in the privatization of
the Power Holding Company of Nigeria and especially
in BEDC Ado-Ekiti ,where some of their Staff have not
be receiving Salary since the privatization exercise.
Mr. Senate President Sir, Prof. C. Nebo eventually
forcefully retuned some of the money to the University
through the help of Prof. Isaac Azusu and the
accounting Officer, Mr. Obadiah.

Refusal to Pay 28 days Hotel Allowance

What we noticed after Eze Jude exposed them on the
Air was the payment of the Sum of Two Hundred and
Fifty Two Thousand Naira to the staff of the Federal
University Oye-Ekiti in three installment of Eighty Two
thousand Naira per month from October to December
2013, although the Management the Federal University
Oye-Ekiti refused to pay our 28 days hotel allowance to
the staff who were to move their Families to Oye-Ekiti
as contained in the scheme of service.

Atrocity in the payment of our Responsibility Allowance

The Sum of Thirty Three Million Naira was given to the
University for the Payment of the responsibility
allowance of the Staff for the year 2012 but we
discovered that some that started work in 2011 were
not paid while some that joined the University later
were handsomely paid.
In some cases, the junior was paid more than the
senior person and in other situation some of the staff
that started work at the same time were paid and the
other left out of the allowance.
The alarming point is that when the Management of
the Federal University Oye –Ekiti was to retire the
money recently to Abuja, it was discovered that the list
that was taking to Abuja contained the names of the
Staff that were not paid and for some staff that was
paid, the amount that was written against their names
was higher and much more than what they were paid.
Because of this, the list of the names that was taken to
Abuja was returned to the University for some Staff to
append their Signature; these are those they sent an
SMS.

Seun, pls this is cry of a people. Help move to FP.

In Ado Ekiti; No power,MTN increased call rate to 40k per sec, Sun is too hot, erosion everywhere when it rains due to improper re-construction of drainages by the present administration, pile of dirt in market square (due to strike by waste management staff)
