Evi Edna and Majek were the bomb those days.

They lived moderately, dressed moderated, sang wonderfully and inspiritionally. The tunes were always great, you'll never get scolded by your parents when they find you listening or dancing to the rythm.Majek Fashek was deep, inspirational and rhythmical who was following the likes of great Bob Marley,I deeply feel for his present sorry state though.
I also remembered Ese Agese-back to the basics,NTA will slam the videos mostly on Saturday and Charly Boy Show is not left out.Blacky was the Modern dance hall,i was still little then,he was the bad boy of those times.
@OP please i hope your research will also include the likes of Sunny Ade,Ebenezer Obey,Ayinde Wasiu,Kollington Ayinla,Salawa Abeni,Adewale Ayuba,Sir Shina Peters,Fela Kuti and so many i cant recal their names anymore as i was more inclined to HIPHOP in my growing years but these Musicians' ovation were way more louder than what a minority of my younger peers that listened to HipHop had back then.

My parents hardly play 'Apala' but Fuji Gabbage and Ijo yoyo was among the dance i danced to at parties even my parents will jamm the plates at any available happy day.The feeling was always different.
Their music was strong and they passed messages of great insights and the ones with high tunes make you really dance and forget your sorrows,breakdancing,backsliding,spliting,moonwalking,glasswalking-The Art was awesome, originality was unmatched and their creativity was high.

@OP *Thumbs*This is the second time you guys are sending me back to the past this week on Nairaland ! Una do well ! ,These were the periods when things in Nigeria were fairly great .I miss those seasons big time !
