ABOUT
After the final international break of the year all focus is now on the Premier
League for the next few months for the Eagles players, who will be looking to
end a run of five games without a win against Liverpool.
They will fancy their chances of a scalp against the Reds who make the trip to
SE25 also in poor form, winning just two of their last eight league games and
their last three in all competitions, although they were against Newcastle,
Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Palace have beaten the red side of Merseyside just once in the Premier
League - back in 2005 thanks to an Andy Johnson header - but Liverpool
have won none of their last five trips to Selhurst Park.
Another glimmer of hope for Palace is that Brendan Rodgers' side have
conceded 18 goals in their previous nine league away games, and look out for
Neil Warnock's side's quality at set pieces as 57% of the Eagles' goals this
term have come from dead ball situations, the highest percentage in the top
flight.
TEAM NEWS
Mile Jedinak will return from suspension after missing the
Manchester United game through his red card against Sunderland, and
Wilfried Zaha could also come back into contention after sitting out the trip to
Old Trafford due to the terms of his loan arrangement.
Crystal Palace:
James McArthur and Kevin Doyle withdrew from their international squads
with muscle strains but could be fit for the visit of the Reds, but there are no
other reported issues from the nine internationals that have represented their
countries over the past week.
Rodgers was dealt a blow this week that Daniel Sturridge will miss
the game through a re-occurrence of a thigh strain and could be out for
another month.
Liverpool:
Mario Balotelli pulled out of the Italy squad with a groin problem but should
be OK to line-up against the Eagles, and Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique
have recovered in time for this game.
Apart from Sturridge, Liverpool's only casualty is Jon Flanagan who is out
until Christmas with a knee injury.

Does anyone actually really need reminding? Last season's action at Selhurst
Park came to a close in thrilling fashion as Palace rallied to score three late
goals in 11 minutes to claim an unlikely point and stun title-challenging
Liverpool.
If a single game could sum up the Eagles' season this would be it, as the
hosts looked down and out before dragging themselves back into game and
finishing with a flourish to stun the league leaders.
When Damien Delaney's long-range effort flew into the top corner to make it
3-1 it seemed to be a mere consolation, until super-sub Dwight Gayle popped
up with a second a couple of minutes later – and an incredible season at
Selhurst came to a crescendo when the striker popped up with another two
minutes from time to complete a stunning comeback.
Joe Allen gave the Reds an early advantage and despite managing to keep
the goal-hungry visitors out until half-time, strikes by Daniel Sturridge and
Luis Suarez in the opening 10 minutes of the second seemed to have ended
Eagles hopes, but the unbelievable climax all but ends the Reds' title hopes
for another year.
