In the light of recent upheavals rocking the nation, and the consequent dissipating faith in Our dear country, Nigeria, the FG has directed the National Orientation Agency to promote a new Hip Hop influenced National Pledge, the first of its kind in Africa, and the world, in a bid to fire the spirit of nationalistic fervour among the youths.

The Pledge is to take effect starting with schools nationwide by Jan. 1, 2015. The words are very reflective of current happenings.
