imagine the Op saying Buhari increases inflation by 41% when inflation actually went down during his short reign.... and our external debt also went down.....naira went up and was competing with dollar, so much so the westerners began to threaten Nigeria to devalue our money, collect IMF loan and all the sorts.

Buhari refused.... the westerners saw that Naira may soon become an international currency if exchange just like the dollar, then they cut of Nigeria from the World Trade....Buhari was not discouraged; he started the famous trade by barter with Nigerian crude oil, that is we give our crude oil to countries in director exchange for imports.

When the West saw that with this man in the saddle of Nigeria, the country was on a path to greatness, they influenced a coup d'etat to oust him from power. Babangida was their tool.

What was the first thing Babangida did when he came to power: he devalued our currency, accepted useless IMF loan that we could do without, and then implemented the disastrous SAP. The rest is history; we all know from then on, Nigeria was free fall.....going down ever since
