People discriminate through words, actions and conduct against groups they feel are different or inferior. But what is to be gained from saying or doing things that would hurt people directly or indirectly?

And...why do people who were once discriminated against, now discriminate against others?

Humans are wired to be tribal. The other ones are seen as a danger of some sought. Racism is just a modern form of tribalism. Doesn't bother me coz poeple discriminating usually are not my associations anyway.
