This ain’t no poem;
This is pure Exaltation.
To praise God, I need no Consultation.
And like a priest,
I’m gonna make some Benediction.
Sit back, relax;
All I need is your Attention.

Now that I’ve got it,
Let me give y’all rhymes so Divine.
My world is my Pride.
But that’s infinitesimal;
Because God is my Life.

Like a son so Prodigal,
I go Astray.
And like a woman in Labour,
All I feel is Pain.
****
I find my way to his Sanctuary,
Because I’m grief-Stricken.
Rather than stay down Weeping,
I’ll praise God with what I was Given; my Skills.

Precise and Short?
I wish I could compose a Song.
Even with numerous Tongues,
Praising him ain’t Enough.
