With 2.2, u can do MSc directly in any course and school in Nigeria.

In fact, with third class in some courses of top Nigeria schools, u can do MSc directly.

In Unilag, with third class, u can do directly MSc Cell biology, MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management, Master of Environmental Management, MIT, MSc Parasitology, MILR, to mention just a few.

If not d situation of d country, 2.2 is a gud grade.

Your GPA doesn't necessarily have to be above 3.0 as a 2.2 graduate before one can study for a masters degree.

At least I know this fact.

To the best of my knowledge you can only do Masters with a 2.2 IN the school you had first degree and sometimes in the same course.
It will be very hard to get admission in another school with a 2.2

U can apply for a master degree in any school

But it will be preferable IF u choose the school you did graduate from

What u have to get yourselves concerned with is the test and interviews u will have before u are admitted

Big lie!!! shocked ....I had 2.2 in a state university and I was admitted for masters in UI which is even federal.

2.2 is the basic requirement for most departments. Its only competition that gives people with higher cgpa a slight advantage. the strength of ur cgpa is usually correlated with ur entrance performance to determine ur chances based on competition in d department.

These days, cgpa and entrance score is usually correlated because more and more graduates now have means of graduating with 2.1 that they don't deserve.

2.1=2nd class upper [3.5 to 4.49 cgpa]
1st class =4.5 to 5.0 cgpa
