A former Swiss fighter pilot has pulled a breathtaking stunt, flying over Dubai with a pair of jet-powered wings.

Yves Rossy, known as 'Jetman', took part in a stunning aerial gymnastics, doing a formation flight with Hungarian aerobatics champion, Veres Zoltan.

Rossy took to the skies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in yet another adventurous move to push higher limits in anti-gravity experiences.

In a video showing off his aerial skills, the adventure junky jumped from a helicopter over the desert and then soared over Dubai with the help of his four-engine wings.

The Guinness record holder was filmed 5,000 feet above the Dubai desert at a speed over 120 miles per hour, performing aerobatic moves controlled by his body movements.

The Swiss daredevil named his challenge a "culmination of decades of fulfilling a childhood dream through technological innovation, determination, teamwork and courage.”

In 2006, Rossy, who has completed flights over the Swiss Alps and the English Channel, became the first and only man to fly with a jet-propelled wing.

He has also travelled above the Grand Canyon, Rio's Christ the Redeemer and Mount Fuji in Japan but he says "the best is yet to come."
