See how northern governors are coaching southern governors as they absorb lessons like mugus. This is the reason the north has been ruling nigeria. they're politically more developed.

Look, all politicians are the same. The game is not a clean game, because we (the followers) are so gullible.

Unrealistic! How do you know what they are speaking about about?

naijaking, body language is a scientific fact with proof based on cognitive science, its not some sort of mystical thing like mind reading, body language is !00% real and effective. just read up on it.

Unless you were actually there sitting with them, you most definately will not know what they were discussing, I could be smiling innocently with a friend whilst discussing another person's assasination

A picture speaks a thousand words. So if you want it to be about Northern leaders teaching Southern leaders corruption so be it.
But I would prefer to believe that all Nigerian Leaders are corrupt irrespective of their ethnicity.
Our culture sto stop rewarding those who cheat, from market women to Yar Adua in Aso Rock.

However, lets wait for deepzone and the other tribalists (too many names to mention- they'll show themselves later) to run with this thread.

You mean your fellow tribalists?

this is what i see
from the right: one of the men on the right is giving deep advise, while the other one from the right is confirming what was being said by the adviser.
from the left: both men look very concern, very open and desperately seeking for wisdom to get them out of trouble or to accomplish an objective.
i agree with the poster, that body movement or body language says a lot. if you don't believe me, please check with the deaf and dumb society.
Re: This Picture Shows Why North Rules Nigeria: Give Your Comments! by gadogado(m): 10:18pm On Dec 05, 2008
@tpia, indeed lets wait for deepzone. but if im talking to someone yes that person will listen but the reaction on this persons face will be regular, im not talking about whether one is listening or not.what im saying is that you should study the facial expressions of all four men carefully. who looks shocked and attentive. gov. makarfi in white looks like an enforcer, he has a "she' you understand?" gesture on his face while gov. danjuma in brown gives the jist or coaching. igbenidion and ibori are paying attention and absorbing whats being said like its almost a shock. if it was regular jist.their facial expressions would be regular as well. facial expression and facial gesture is what you should look at not "what they might be saying"
Re: This Picture Shows Why North Rules Nigeria: Give Your Comments! by gadogado(m): 10:26pm On Dec 05, 2008
just like this picture, i dont know whats being said but cant you tell whats going on, oga ibori is being a typical nigerian bigman, the way he's issuing orders and talking lazily while the other is an errand boy who is ass kissing and , im sure you can make up the rest for yourselves.

these are the real reasons why north rocks. honesty with one another, love for one another, the capacity and quality of being patient, very low regard for worldly concerns, there is only one home sweet home, which is nigeria, firmed faith and high endurance capability.

I don't think so

@gadogado,

Good, but static images are rarely used in assessing body language.

Body language: The gestures, postures, and facial expressions by which a person manifests various physical, mental, or emotional states and communicates nonverbally with others.

I doubt that a picture is the best resource to interpret body language. Better options:
1. Several static images - many related pictures (good)
2. A short video (better)
3. Being physically present (priceless!)

Thank you.

@ Poster,

Just a singular picture is not enough to make a decisive conclusion as you have done. It could have been taken at a point when others were just basically listening.

I was going to let you slide, but no, you have to expose your naked ignorance. Body language assumptions are rarely made from a microsecond still picture shots. They're better made by watching them over a period of time t. A still shot like you have shown us means nothing, but you're so eager to ascribe meanings to it for your own political motives. Just chill!

exactly what some ppl do not understand, politicians either south south, ibo, yoruba, hausa are all friends and business partners and their first priority is to rape the economy and steal all they can, when they get boxed in a corner or need to have elections overturned they have a trusty weapon called tribalism to fall back on, we nigerians are so gullible and untill we learn to think independently and reasonably the journey continues

@Post,

Tpia is correct. It is difficult to extract the full content of this interaction and place accurate meanings to it without a review of multiple shots from dfferent perspectives.

However, given this one shot and asked to analyze it for meaning this is what I will say:

The guy in green hat is plotting. His eyeballs and facial expression show resounding confidence. He is relaxed and no anxiety – he is even counting on his prayer rosaries which means his thoughts are not scattered. He is leaning in, shoulders straight, with questioning gaze directed at red beads – the look of an interrogator.

The guy in brown hat is his accomplice and whatever it is they are plotting this time, the guy in brown has done it before with successful outcome. He does not own this plot but he is there for moral support, to sweeten the deal and squeeze out a commitment.

These two are imposing.

The guy with red bead around his neck is vulnerable and has some control over something – he holds the key to something that green hat wants. He is not trusting and you can see this in the way his fist is clasped, instead of barred. He is burdened by something on his mind. This guy is someone guided by his conscience and his eyeballs and countenance reveal that. He has something to loose if things did not go smoothly as planned - soul, family name, credibility, etc… He is aware of this and is thus taking caution here. He is sitting in the dead center to everyone else – he is the focus.

Brown pants appeared to have come there to support red beads and fend off predators but green hat appeared too much to handle. Green hat is slick. Here, brown pants is depicted as a eager student, subdued and obedient. He is the tallest of the crew of four but he is slouched in his seat and appears impatient, as if waiting to raise his hand and ask a question. For a man of his size, he should sit into the chair and stretch out his legs, not doubled up and squeezed for room. He should be the inimidator, not the intimidated as he appeared to be in here.

These two are cornered.

I hope it is just a mature sense of humor at work here.

I can't believe this thread has received so many replies.

A thread based on such a flimsy premise
Re: This Picture Shows Why North Rules Nigeria: Give Your Comments! by lucabrasi(m): 1:14am On Dec 07, 2008
while you are totally right these pictures dont really convey enough to make all these assumptions, dont forget these individuals in the photos have a reputation already irrespective of the photos, hence the many replies

Is this suppose to be a picture reading contest? grin

Gullible and sufferhead nigerians reading pictures of their corrupt, greedy and bloodthirsty politicians.
Having read tonnes of pictures and even videos like this for over 50 years, its a shame that you guys have not been able to understand and do something about it.
