Profandie:

Abia state university will accept

He requested for "FEDERAL UNIVERSITY", ABSU is a state Uni. You can try UNIBEN. Though the requirement is 60% but my friend got it with less than a 60% grade.

3. MSc Chemical Engineering - Unilag
4. MSc Petroleum Production Engineering - Robert Gordon University Scotland.
5. PhD Chemical Engineering - starting in 2017 by God's grace. - I am considering a joint PhD program with Unilag and University of Alberta. I already got a Prof in Unilag willing to supervise me and a co- supervisor from University of Alberta.

A question in making a career choice, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I am torn between the opinion of going for MSC in either

Energy science and technology,... ULM University
material science and engineering ...university of Kiel
synthesis and catalysis... Regensburg

I applied to this schools for the coming winter section and I am hope full of gaining admissions, however, am not sure which is the best course to pursue with respect to having a wide range of opportunities in research, industry and academia

Followed this thread for a while now. You guys are doing a great job already.
Kindly advise me please

B.Sc Zoology (ABU)
Postgraduates Diploma in Education (NOUN)

M.Sc (Zoology) Cell Biology and Genetics (UI)
why I'm not doing my PhD in this field?
the cost of doing research is beyond my current budget (loads of PCR, RNA /DNA extraction kits and other stuff like that , Storage facilities).

I thought about doing a PhD in Animal Production (Agric). From the info I have gathered so far, it's not possible.

pls do suggest other feasible options for me. thanks

Do not enrol in a doctoral program because it is an alternative to what you want because there are days that it could be frustrating. Ever thought of preparing for a departmental seminar on one of your papers and people thrash your work that you feel you have wasted your life all the while? Sincerely, what keeps the going sometimes is that you are doing what you really want.

That said, why not think of getting funding abroad for your program since often times, the school will fund all you need? Think through this option and should you think you want to do the research in Nigeria, then try apply for the various fundings available within the country.

I am a bit emotional about your cause, not because you tagged me, but much more because I will have taken a path like yours. I have a first degree in Zoology, with speciality in Genetics. My supervisor wanted me to continue as a research assistant, but I got a job in the private sector and had a partial "calling" for IT back then. I still fancy my littel work in genetics (Speciation)

Now to your plight.......

Have you considered looking for sponsorship? Write to friends, family, church, NGOs, scholarship boards etc. You are can get assistance where you do not imagine. Consider looking towards the Scandinavian countries, follow people with related interest on twitter like Dr. Dipo Awojide https://twitter.com/OgbeniDipo, who can furnish you with information about scholarship opportunities in the UK

I would rather ask what do you want to do? Your profile looks and I think you should give you PHD your best shot. Starting with taking the GRE/GMAT for admission on American universities. You can also try some business schools in Europe. Make use to the Times Higher Education Rankings and select universities that fit your profile.
