Writing this piece of information on my bed as a result of yesterday's event which left me so weak.
I remember reading from d front page of nairaland few weeks ago that new Air lines as well as additional planes have been introduced in the Nigerian aviation sector, namely ;Discovery Airline, Air Peace and Azman. I decided to give discovery Air a chance ( booking a flight to Phc) only to regret I ever did.
Note: I usually take others (aero, Dana etc) Bt decided to giv discovery a chance maybe because of what I read abt them as well as the name sounds reasonable ( dnt judge me).
My flight was scheduled for 10 am, so I breezed in and out of the church rushing to the airport so as not to miss my flight, only to get to the airport and started waiting for their workers to resume work. They later resumed few minutes to eleven. Customers were angry due to appointments they had fixed and dey ended up calming us down.
The second shocker was that we were later told that our flight had been delayed till 5pm nd I was dumbfounded, dough we were given d option of re-booking for d Nxt day, I almost postponed mine Bt needed to be in Phc yesterday. And when you think noting else can surprise you anymore, they delayed it further nd we eventually left around few minutes to 8Pm. It was a terrible experience.
I had been delayed For 10 Hours.

Jst had to share this experience so as to inform Nairalanders wishing to keep appointments to avoid Discovery Air, dey disappoint..

OMG! I was slated to fly that day with these guys!

Flight was cancelled without prio notice. Their staff are as rude as they come. The management till today did not apologise for the cancellation instead we were told they would refund us and that was all.

If I want to write my experience with on here,
I will spend the whhole day. All I will say is, don't ever fly them. Thhey are not even a joke. They are evil.


Avoid them.

Don't fly with thhem


Flee from every appearance of discovery air

You will regret. It.


Instead. Just walk to your destination.

my mum's been flying discovery since it opened up no problem...her route is always Abuja-Lagos...don't know about PHC tho...

I do only Arik, local routes, or I take God is good.

GIG first bus or their new Priority bus can enter Lagos as early as 11am to 11.30am from the east...or from Abj to Benin.

i had a similar experience with them on friday as a flight scheduled for 4pm was delayed for 3 hours.
IMO i think they actually merged passengers for both 4pm and 7pm flights together all in a bid to cut costs (landing fees et al) and maximize profit.
if you av any important appointment to catch up with, i'll advice you to use another airline

I'm with you on this one. Dana has become my favorite local airline. No delays, polite and professional crew/staff, new and sound planes and above all, affordable.

Arik is so so overrated.

Medview is the same. My wife and son were delayed for over 4 hours. A 1.20pm flight was delayed for "operational" reason to 5.30pm yesterday. Will never book them again
