Hello Nairalanders!
My Sister has this disease of sweating excessive sweating called (Hyperhidrosis),which produces a lot of unhappiness. She Starts sweating from the palms and soles of the feet and Underarm.The Sweating is embarrassing, it stains her clothes a lot.It started when she was 6yrs Old and now she's 18years old.We have contact many Doctors and taken a lot of drugs but still to no avail. So I decided to bring it up to this forum because I know we have many medical experts here. Any advice?

Hmmm..I think excessive sweating has to do with water retention.maybe shld work out often so that water and waste fluids bla bla bla bla bla..I give up! I dnt know what I'm saying

Hyperhidrosis can be an embarrassingcondition that can affect one's condition and level of socialising.
Unfortunately,it's a bit of a difficult condition to treat.The more advanced treatment options are laser therapy,botox injections and something called iontophoresis.You may not really get that in Naija.
If the sweating is more from the armpits,try and get an anti-perspirant called Drysol.
The use of baking soda or table salt also helps temporarily.Rub on the parts where you sweat regularly from.
