Hi gurus,

In d recent times, if u have soft spot for creativity on screen, u will find even ordinary NTA very interesting: the jingles, adverts, etc. Also, for example, on AIT or even NTA, if they are advertising OMO detergent, u will see its 3D either spinning, stretching or twisting like in d real sense.

Does anybody know what editing software these TV stations use. I’m sure d package is not Ulead Video Studio, neither Adobe Premier nor Pinnacle.

Pls anyone with d idea should post it here.

The 3d Animation is from MAYA or 3d Max.

When you work on such projects you will not just stick to one Video editor or animation software. You will probably find yourself working with several.

Lets say you need to do a composite animation for Omo where ther a r real people interacting with say an animated omo packet that stretches and spins, etc. You will probably shoot your video and edit the rushes acording to your storyboard using a video editor like ulead media studio or premier pro. You will then use the segment(s) of the video where the animation will appear as a viewport background in 3d studio max where you will model and animate the omo packet. You will achive your composition by employing vairous animation techniques like cameara matching, camera tracking, motion blurring etc. You will probably export the finished animation as an AVI clip and take it back to your video editor to integrate it back into your project. You might also find yourself using a lot of other softwares to generate effect (example are After-effects, flash, particle illusion, etc). You might need other softwares to work on your sound (e.g adobe audition, cake walk, friutyloops, etc). If you did a bit of chroma you might edit the chroma bit in your video editor or use other more power softwares like "serious magic ultr chroma".

This is just a general gist on how these things go.

Well, those who have not used anything beyond After Effects and Premiere will swear by the two appz. since they get the job done. But the moment they step outside the 'box', the weaknesses of their favourite software become so glaring that they use other apps to make up for the shortcoming.

maya is a good software

Different production outfits use different softwares, aftereffects, premeiere pr and dem lots, JUST dat d most acceptable softwares in d industry are adobe produced and apple final cut pro, it wuld delight youto know that from start to finish all that wuz used for kingkong wuz final cut pro and not after effects, JUst chek out www. creative cow.com, u wld get information on what software fits you, nd yor system, just that u eld need a vry strong system for video editing,

Is any of u @ PH or knows any1 in PH dat can put me thru some practicals i.e. On a personal note? I want to go fully into video work.
