Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old suspect, Emmanuel
Olowu, for robbing worshipers during a church activity in Redemption Camp,
Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ibafo area of Ogun State.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi said Olowu was
arrested in possession of a toy gun, money and phones collected from
worshippers.
Adejobi during a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, yesterday
paraded other suspects for various offences in different locations in the state.
Other suspects arrested included Sunday Akinlosotu, David John, 23, Osilaru
Osodare, 28, Okeke Emmanuel, 20, Dayo Akinola, 19, Daramola Arogun, 20,
Ayomide Tobi, 17 and Onayemi Femi, 34.
Meanwhile, the Anti Crime Police team attached to Ajuwon Division of the Ogun
State Police Command has arrested some suspected armed robbers 24 hours
after they carried out some robbery operations.
The operations were carried out at Heritage Estate, Akute, in Ifo Local
Government Area of Ogun State last Saturday.
The suspects, according to the police spokesperson, were arrested in Akute
while attempting to rob again the following day.
The suspects are John David and Bassey James of Donald Estate, Akute.
Adejobi said that most of the victims of the robbery operation had identified the
suspects who had been involved in several operations before their arrest.
Adejobi said, “The investigation team has however recovered a dummy gun, a
knife and other offensive weapons (purportedly used by them to rob and
torment innocent people of the area) from the houses of the suspected armed
robbers in the area.
“The police boss in Ogun has also directed all the area commanders, divisional
police officers and heads of departments in the command to intensify efforts in
making sure that the good people of Ogun State have peaceful yuletide

Police dey craze? them dey mad? how will u arrest young guys looking for means of suvival? if those chairmen no stil money to buy jets this may live better life una dey mad leave them quickly. how dare rccg nig limited?
