Yes! The evil spirit was already there, there is never a good without a bad previosly in existence..... You have a choice to have it done good or bad, thence you have the capacity to identify and differentiate.... An eye is always watching you from somewhere around you.... You must give report someday .... Remain a mere mortal!!!

Evil cannot proceed out of abundance of Good, neither can Imperfection proceed out of Perfection.
So, the lucifer biblical story is just a tale like many other story.

According to the tale, until a certain point, the devil (Lucifer) was a devoted angel.

My question is, where did the spirit that polluted the creature (Satan) emanate from?
bro it is very simple, when God created everything, he created good and bad. And, he gave us our free will, so devil chose pride.

God Allowed us to have free will. To chose what is right and wrong. Is left to us to decide which way to follow.
In the case of Lucifer his pride emanated from his beauty and position in heaven.
One thing I want all of us to know is that, God did not create us like robot that they don't have choices to make in life.

He gave us freewill to chose. So the choice is all yours.

A man was created to be a free being, able to make choices, not stooges and to face the consequences of his actions(good or bad). To be able to do this there must be situations that provide basis for comparison, in this case God loves creating in twos ;man/woman, right/wrong, right/left, heaven /earth ,life/death etc
How will you appreciate light if there's no darkness? ,joy if there's no sorrow, wealth if there's no poverty ... and would we appreciate God if there is no Satan?
in fact in his own way the devil is working for God to establish properly the children of God .Job 1:6-12.
Tell if I'd ever know if God exist or is powerful if it's not because of the devil?
The power to resist the devil is with us, so if he is successful in tempting us it's our fault.
These are part of creation mysteries which we can not completely understand till thy kingdom come...
On point! now to mr atheist......
what mr atheist fails to understand is that his idea of God based on doctrines of different religions and other moralistic grounds maybe wrong. God is not who you feel or think he is,he is who he says he is. he reveals himself to you by his name else you dont know him and have no basis for knowing what he has done, what he is doing,if he exists or not.
Mr atheist, in a way you are correct, to you there is certainly no God because he is hidden from you, from your senses at least(i counsel you to open your heart then you will see him).
You logic as to the source of darkness is simple, God made all things, he made the light and the darkness, the day and the night, life and death, angels and men, lucifer and adam. some of them to continue or exist for a while, while others to continue for all eternity. And all this things including satan are mearnt to fit into Gods plan for mankind, immortality and eternal life. You are then brought into the scene with the power to chose what happens to you( you are responsible to a large extent what happens to you here and hereafter).
Now have you not considered how nothing of this sphere came into being of itself (newtons 1st law) and yet whoever it is that made all these, allowed you to possess enough intelligence to even question his existence?
Bottom line , there is no basis for argument. av been blessed ,lifted, fulfilled and at peace knowing God through the Jesus Christ. I have a conciousness of his presence with me everyday i cant trade for anything. I hope same goes for you mr Atheist with atheism? enjoy your journey through life or death(your choice).

- He wasn't just a devoted angel, he was very very powerful. As a matter of fact, he was an Archangel, the most powerful of the three that God created.
He was a magnificent being , with more intellect, wisdom, ability and beauty than the other angelic beings, was awesome to behold. No wonder God named him Lucifer which means 'Day Star' or 'Son of The Morning'.
To cut the long story short, it got to a point that he became discontent with his position, even as the angel of worship/music director in heaven, and prominence and wanted to overthrow God. His downfall began because Pride entered his heart, and because of his power, he got some angels on his side, one third of all the angels, this then led to a war between lucifer and his men, and the other archangel/angels.
He was defeated, and together with the fallen angels, was banished from Heaven and God changed his name to Satan/Devil meaning 'adversary', and these fallen angels are known today as Demons... And so on.

The spirit that polluted Satan, came from Satan himself, it entered him- from him that moment he allowed Pride take over him. Hence the origin of sin originated from the creation, not the creator. Never.
Although Satan, or Lucifer was not created evil, he originated His own sin which which was pride and rebellion against God.
The same sin Adam commited. Rebellion- deliberately disobeying God's intsruction- The first or original sin- on Earth...
wu told u God created three angels? If he is powerful in such as yr thought how come michael sent him out was he powerful than him

He was not an Archangel. He was a Seraphim, Seraphims are the first of the nine celestial orders of angels: Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Archangels and Angels. One of the few angels then allowed to stand in the presence of God and look upon God and not be blinded by God's Glory.

Like every sentient being God created, he was given free will and chose wrongly.

1st Sphere – Seraphim, Cheribum and Thrones
2nd Sphere – Dominions, Virtues and Powers
3rd Sphere – Principalities, Archangels and Angels.

SERAPHIM – sometimes called “the burning ones” because they are closest to God and radiate Pure Light. These are the Angels who constantly sing God’s praise, and whose duty it is to regulate the heavens. (Lucifer is said to have been one of the Seraphim who had outshone all the others untill he became the head of the fallen angels).

CHERUBIM - sent to guard the gates of Eden. Originally they were depicted as the bearers of God’s Throne, as the charioteers, and as powerful beings with four wings and four faces. However, in modern times, Cheribum have evolved into chubby babies with wings.

THRONES - called the ‘many eyed ones’ have the duty of carrying out God’s decisions. They are often represented as fiery wheels.

DOMINIONS – their job is to regulate the duties of the other Angels and ensure that God’s wishes are carried out.

VIRTUES – the Angels of Grace who bring God’s blessings to Earth, usually in the form of miracles. Known as the ‘brilliant’ or “shinning'” ones, they are associated with acts of heroism and bring courage when needed.

POWERS - their job is to prevent the ‘fallen angels’ from taking over the world and keeping the Universe in balance. They are also seen as the Angels of birth and death.

PRINCIPALITIES – the Guardian Angels of cities, nations and rulers, and guards against the invasion of evil angels.

ARCHANGELS - probably the best known of all Angels. They carry God’s most important messages to humans. They also command God’s ‘armies’ of Angels in the constant battle with the “sons of darkness.”

ANGELS - the Celestial Beings closest to humans. They act as intermediaries between the Almighty and humanity. Often called our “Guardian Angels.”

This will answer your question though its very critical

WHY DID GOD CREATE

...Day and night?
Why didn't he create day only?

LEMME CLARIFY SOMETHING HERE:

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

COMMENT: darkness can be defined as "absence of light" meaning light already exists in d beginning but was ABSENT.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

COMMENT: God called forth light from it's ABSENCE not actually creating light there and then.

1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness

COMMENT: God separated light from darkness to form day and night to show their coexistence, just like good and bad.

1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

CONCLUSION: God made His creations have a freewill - ability to choose, but yet sets instructions that will be for our advantage:

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

And God also made His creations perfect and excellent - complete without need for something else.

Gen 1:31(NLT) Then God looked over all he had made , and saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened in the sixth day.

Now to answer the question OP has laid down in this thread is:

The evil emanated from His CHOICE OF THOUGHTS.
the Bible says in
Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

this shows that there are various types of thoughts or rather what we choose to think.

Satan decided to dwell on negative thoughts of pride, greed and rebellion. IT WAS HIS CHOICE, book of Isaiah 14:12-15

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart{showing you his thoughts}, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

This shows that his actions sprung from his thoughts which he conceived himself. so if anybody is to be blamed is definitely him.

God who doesn't behold sin, casted him and his convinced demons from heaven.

God's word is truth... just stick to it and believe in it's totality so as not to be confused

this is my opinion...
well-done to @youngsage, @mavor and the rest who have contributed INTELLIGENTLY to this thread...

Re: The Evil Spirit That Corrupted Lucifer (satan's) Mind; Where Did It Come From? by Nobody: 9:00am On Dec 22, 2014
Question: "Did God create evil?"

Answer: At first it might seem that if God created all things, then evil must have been created by God. However, evil is not a “thing” like a rock or electricity. You cannot have a jar of evil. Evil has no existence of its own; it is really the absence of good. For example, holes are real but they only exist in something else. We call the absence of dirt a hole, but it cannot be separated from the dirt. So when God created, it is true that all He created was good. One of the good things God made was creatures who had the freedom to choose good. In order to have a real choice, God had to allow there to be something besides good to choose. So, God allowed these free angels and humans to choose good or reject good (evil). When a bad relationship exists between two good things we call that evil, but it does not become a “thing” that required God to create it.

Perhaps a further illustration will help. If a person is asked, “Does cold exist?” the answer would likely be “yes.” However, this is incorrect. Cold does not exist. Cold is the absence of heat. Similarly, darkness does not exist; it is the absence of light. Evil is the absence of good, or better, evil is the absence of God. God did not have to create evil, but rather only allow for the absence of good.

God did not create evil, but He does allow evil. If God had not allowed for the possibility of evil, both mankind and angels would be serving God out of obligation, not choice. He did not want “robots” that simply did what He wanted them to do because of their “programming.” God allowed for the possibility of evil so that we could genuinely have a free will and choose whether or not we wanted to serve Him.

As finite human beings, we can never fully understand an infinite God (Romans 11:33-34). Sometimes we think we understand why God is doing something, only to find out later that it was for a different purpose than we originally thought. God looks at things from a holy, eternal perspective. We look at things from a sinful, earthly, and temporal perspective. Why did God put man on earth knowing that Adam and Eve would sin and therefore bring evil, death, and suffering on all mankind? Why didn’t He just create us all and leave us in heaven where we would be perfect and without suffering? These questions cannot be adequately answered this side of eternity. What we can know is whatever God does is holy and perfect and ultimately will glorify Him. God allowed for the possibility of evil in order to give us a true choice in regards to whether we worship Him. God did not create evil, but He allowed it. If He had not allowed evil, we would be worshipping Him out of obligation, not by a choice of our own will.

Re: The Evil Spirit That Corrupted Lucifer (satan's) Mind; Where Did It Come From? by Nobody: 9:06am On Dec 22, 2014
Question: "Did God create sin?"

Answer: God created the universe in six days, but, originally, the universe had no sin—everything He made was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Sin entered the cosmos due to an act of rebellion against God, not because God created sin.

We need to define “sin.” First John 3:4 says, “Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.” Sin, therefore, is any violation of God’s holy law. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” According to this verse, sin is anything (words, thoughts, actions, and motivations) that falls short of God’s glory and perfection. All of us sin. Romans 3:23 also teaches that we must know the character of God before we can accurately define sin, because His glory is the standard by which we measure it (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17). Without a perfect standard, there is no way to determine whether something is imperfect. Without the absolute standard of God’s glory, every word or action would be judged by the faulty, shifting standard of imperfect people. Every rule, law, and moral tenet would become a matter of opinion. And man’s opinion is as varied and changeable as the weather.

If a builder builds upon a foundation that is not square, he risks the integrity of the entire project. The building does not get better as it goes up; it gets weaker and more out of line. However, when the starting point is perfect, the rest of the structure will be sound. Moral foundations work the same way. Without God’s moral law, we have no way of knowing right from wrong. Sin is moving away from what is right. The further we get from God’s moral standard, the worse the sin becomes.

God created men and angels with a free will, and, if a being has a free will, there is at least the potential that he will choose badly. The potential for sin was a risk God took. He created human beings in His image, and, since He is free, humans were created free, too (Genesis 1:27). Free will involves the ability to choose, and, after God communicated the moral standard, He gave the man a true choice (Genesis 2:16). Adam chose disobedience. God did not tempt, coerce, or lure Adam into disobedience. James 1:13 says, “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.” God allowed Adam the dignity of free choice and honored that choice with appropriate consequences (Romans 5:12).

God provided the opportunity to sin, but He did not create or instigate sin. Having the opportunity was good; without it, human beings would be little more than robots. God commands, pleads, and encourages us to follow Him (Exodus 19:5; Deuteronomy 12:28; 1 Samuel 15:22). He promises blessings, fellowship, and protection when we obey (Jeremiah 7:23; Psalm 115:11; Luke 11:28). But He does not chain us. God did not put a fence around the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had freedom to choose obedience or disobedience. When they chose sin, they also chose the consequences that went with it (Genesis 3:16–24).

The same has been true for every human being since. The opportunity to sin is inherent in our freedom of choice. We can choose to seek God, which leads to righteous living (Jeremiah 29:13; 2 Timothy 2:19). Or we can choose to follow our own inclinations, which lead away from God (Proverbs 16:5). The Bible is clear that, whatever path we choose, consequences follow. We reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7). Some consequences are eternal. Matthew 25:46 says that those who do not follow Jesus “will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

God judges people (Ecclesiastes 12:14) and nations (Micah 5:15) who use their free will to rebel against Him. God did not and does not create sin, nor does He delight in punishing those who choose to sin (Ezekiel 33:11). His desire is that all come to repentance and experience the blessing and joy of eternal life with Him (2 Peter 3:9).

Just to augment what you said, there is no such thing as good and evil before God. There is only God's will and rejection/rebellion against his will. Consider the following as may be defined by some people

1) God is the creator of everything that exists.
2) Evil exists.
3) Therefore, God is the creator of evil.

The problem with this logic chain is in point 2, that evil is something. For evil is not a thing; it is the lack of a good thing that God made. “Evil is a lack of goodness. It is goodness spoiled. You can have good without evil, but you cannot have evil without good.”

Goodness has existed as an attribute of God from all eternity. While God is perfectly holy and just, He is also perfectly good. Just as God has always existed, so too has goodness as it is a facet of God’s holy character. The same cannot be said for evil. Evil came into being with the rebellion of Satan and subsequently entered the physical universe with the fall of Adam.
