The Husband should also sue the MDCN for granting the Indian Doctor the Licence to practise without administering appropriate Exams to ensure competence!
I know tens of my colleagues who were WEEDED OUT of Medical School only to return with some foreign certificates and start setting up practice here and there!

PS: If JOHESU hadn't been on strike, he would have taken her to a Govt Hospital where trained midwives would have attended to her! But Govt would still not honour a 5yr agreement she signed!

Ok na, Make We they Die Like Fowls since we no get brain for this country!!

I feel the pains of this man. It can be anybody in Nigeria. This is terribly painful. We have a minister of health and there is the Nigeria medical association (NMA). What is their responsibilities to ensure that only qualified medical professionals practice in this country. There is so many quacks even in reputable hospitals.

Indians are from third world country but we give them first class treatment. Not all of them are as good as we think.

Not only in medicine but in all fields of life.

All Dick and Harry kind of expats should not be allowed to practice in this country.

Indians have been killing Nigerians not only in health care sector. Ever worked with Indians? If yes, you will know what am talking about. They know how ineffective our laws are and toothless our security agencies are and therefore take advantage of them.

I would have mentioned many Indian companies in various states of the Federation. They are many in Lagos.

I dont get u people o.
u will be asking questions like will the money do this or that? What was the husband suppose to claim? The doctors life? So because money or nothing would bring the wife back, he should have sat on his asÅ› and done nothing.
The lawsuit is enough to close the hospital down and suspend the quacks' licenses if they have any at all. It saves other lives that might fall victim. And if he gets the money, he can give that innocent little one a better life. Who knows the amount of neurological damage that might have occurred in that baby due to the injury sustained.

100% agree.

I don't get how people think sometimes. Nigerians need to stop being docile and stop "leaving everything to God". That's the reason the country is the way it is now.

Rest in Power to the life lost. In hope the baby recovers fully (physically and psychologically.

These so called foreign professionals are often times not up to standard in their own countries which is why they go to countries where they can fool people. India produces many great doctors every year but the highly skilled ones rarely ever go to countries like Nigeria when there is a lot of demand for them in Europe.

If the story is true, I hope the man gets justice.

They are taking advantage of the ignorance of majority of Nigerians.

They're also taking advantage of the weak disciplinary system of the country as well as it's reluctance to prosecute foreigners especially the ones with lighter skin.

Even if the Indian quack had never set foot in a medical, her years of 'experience' should have taught her how NOT to treat a woman in labour. I believe this was an evil and delibrate act to inflict suffering on a poor woman. Mr Hungbe should increase settlement to 1bn and that crazo must cough it out even if she has to sell her organs before returning her useless self to her country.

How I wish the baby's wounds were photoshopped sad

u don't talk like a science student not more a "doctor ".
...the woman did surgery somewhere and after weeks or months as u explain, she started having pains etc then u did ur magic.
I challenge ur story because if its TRUE, the pains will be there even immediately after the surgery and the wound wont heal. do u know the size of scissors and gloves? do u think that such foreign materials will be in someone body and the person will just go home only to present to u later for just pains?

tell ur story to the marines
Now instead of trading insults with you, I will simply refer you back to my post. Mr please tell me where I wrote months in my story You are looking for a fight, sadly you won't get one from this man, and please you would do well by checking your tenses next time, I believe you meant liar.

I honestly don't trust foreign doctors who come to practise here in Nigeria(no offence to the humanitarian doctors tho) I had a terrible experience once @ Ave Maria, opposite Tantalizers, after given hypertension drugs in-place of flu drugs! I threatened that I was going to sue them to court over attempted murder, mislabeled drugs, etc @ first they protested n defended themselves, later they employed the services of a woman who was speaking my dialect to plead with me, else I would have made sure they pay through their noses. I believe, the only time we need expatriate doctors comes when any ailment can't be handled by our own Doctors.

The woman would have presented with some signs and symtoms that would suggest its a surgical abdomen. I think its better to actually open up and explore. There are times its expedient to err on the side of caution.

I don't usually do this.....but the way you addressed me was childish and completely uncalled for. You do not have to be rude in opposing my comments. I am deeply annoyed with you, and I would like to warn you to behave yourself....and don't repeat such

The anonymity of the internet does not give you the right to refer to me the way you did in your original post.

And there is , I repeat, nothing wrong in asking for the best medical care while you are sick...whether poor or rich. Everyone should have the right to good medical care.

Once again, please do try to disagree respectfully with people....ok.?

But going in without at least an abdominal USS, or a plain abdominal x-ray is risky enough. It's old school to do surgery without any form of imaging, unless it's life threatening, and the diagnosis is already known.

Sorry man, but your story doesn't add up. By Just looking at your anatomic descriptions, I can safely conclude you're a not a surgeon. Nice try though. You have plenty work to do.
