um...new to this but here goes nothing

MY LIFE
My life is mine
I have the patent right
Do not try to copy me
I have the copyright.

My trademark shines
Even in the darkest night
That is enough proof
That my life is mine

I am a master of art
Words come from my heart
Even the morning sky
Confirms my raving style

Beyond bounds i flow
Crooks watch of glow
They consult their cowries
To set for me--boundaries

But i am unstoppable
And crooks-incapable
Of putting my destiny
Under undue scrutiny.

I go up high
And all fools sigh
Cause my art is unique
Better than their physique.

DANCES THAT TREND

Have you seen the songs that trend?
Silly dances which need amend?
Let me take you a few steps down memory lane.

I remember "Makosa"
Reigning with the imaginary hit "Gbosa"
Making Musa,Nnena &Bola
Dance like kids with ebola
Dance like children with knock-kneed.
Like a wind driven reed.

Dont get me started on "Why me", "Yahooze"& "Kako bi Chicken"
Inspirations from chickens?
I was stricken.

Then came "Azonto & Etigi" which had all genders of all ages twerking like an octogenarian with waist pain.
Like an old man with stroke.... Can it get any worse

Thought that was bad?
Then you have not seen "Alanta"
Ha....alanta lorita meta"
what a laugh i had as a kid tried to teach me!

One leg up ....eh!
Both shoulders raised... Eh!
Then fingers strumming the tummy while twerking.
Ok....what could have inspired such ....damn?!
Only for the artiste to reply..... A MADMAN.

Has the world gone mad?
Unknown to me, it was still in its early stages.
I was in for a shock with..... Shoki!

Hmmm.... Kabiyesi must hear this
i rest my case...for now

Many came before me
several from beyond the sea
their ego was top notch, they were right
then beholding me, I was a sight.

who is this from the soil?
seeming to put our plans to foil?
what is her status and pedigree?
or even in possession of a uni degree?

still I watched like stiill-life
and watched thoughts go rife
seems their top notch egos were simply covers
for their inability to be problem solvers.
