How to deliver a Car to Lagos, Nigeria from USA?

AuctionExport.com Provides Car Shipping Services to Nigeria at a very competitive price. If you need to know about the price to ship a car to Nigeria, then please contact us and provide the details of your vehicle; such as location of your car, year, make, model, and destination port/city and we will get back to you with the car shipping price. Here is our shipping process We will Pick up your car from its current location and transport it to our storage facility/warehouse. We will send all original documents such as the car title to customs. Then your car will start the customs clearance process. Please note this could take 2-3 weeks. Once the custom clearance is received, it will be assigned to the next vessel available with space. After the loading of your car is done; the shipping line will notify us about the expected date of arrival, ship name and/or container number. A notification will be sent to your attention once this information becomes available. Once in transit, Customs will send us all the original documents such as the bill of lading and title. These will be sent by express courier to the person assigned on your release form. You will receive this package approx. 5 days before the arrival of vessel to the destination port. You will have to show all original documents and pay import duty as applicable to claim the vehicle at destination country. Here are few possible facts that can cause delays during the shipping process Beside the standard documents required at the exit port (Depending on your car history) customs may ask for some extra documentation. This can delay the loading of your vehicle for few days or few weeks. Weather /Climate conditions may cause delays. Changes in the bill of lading as per customer’s request can cause delays in the original documents being delivered on time. Please note that AuctionExport.com works with different shipping lines but can’t speed up the loading process in any manner since those are different entities.

For more details please contact shipping@auctionexport.com

View the shipping status of your vehicle

Now every Auction Export dealer can track the shipping status of their vehicle from his Dealer Profile.

In order to view on what delivery stage your car is you need to login to your Auction Export Profile, select the Purchases section and then click on My Purchases tab.

In your list of My Purchases you will see the Vehicle Status column with a green View Status button.
Here you can view the current status of your car and destination country. After you pay for your vehicle in full we initiate the process of shipping. The first stage consists when the shipping department receives your file and initiates the shipping process.

The following stages show when the car is dispatched and delivered to the exit port or warehouse.

If the car is at the exit warehouse we can take pictures of your vehicle.

Then the vehicle is cleared by US customs, this documents processing usually takes 2-3 weeks for customs clearance before a vehicle can be loaded.

The active Vehicle Loaded stage indicates that your vehicle has been loaded. For such destinations as Benin, Nigeria, Ghana and Togo there is also available the Live Vessel Tracking service, and clients can see the vessel location on the map.

When the documents for your car have been sent by a courier, you will see the active Vehicle Release status and the tracking number of your parcel.

We hope that this service will help you to be aware of your vehicle status and shorten the time of waiting.

Customs in Nigeria

What are the terms of your car clearance? Please, keep in mind that with AuctionExport, you are free to choose your own agent in following cases:

Your car is being shipped by RORO or RORO TOWABLE
Car is shipped in your own 20″ container
You ship your own 40″ container with all your vehicles inside it.

If we use consolidation to ship your vehicle we will have to use our own clearing agent in your country. It is not optional. In such case the car and all original documents will be delivered to our representative. As soon as all cars in container are cleared, they will be released to your consignees and documents will be sent accordingly.

Tell a story about your vehicle – make pictures

If you are on a market for a new ride and selling your old car, this article is for you. Follow these steps to sell your car faster and Yeah, make Pictures!

Step 1. CLEAN YOUR CAR before making pictures

Clean it and remove items you normally carry inside to make it look as clean as possible! CHOOSE THE RIGHT TIME of a day to photograph! It can be the early morning time when the light is softer and it’s cooler outside.

Step 2. Make pictures from different views

Remember the most important views of the car is left, right, front and back outside, and interior inside.

– Show mileage, it’s very important for buyers to see the actual mileage
– Do inside views of your car, try to do as many as you can because this is very important – future owner will spend a lot of time sitting inside the vehicle driving it.
– If you have any damages do not hide them! The buyer will see them anyways, so it’s better to show them right away and do not waste yours and his time.

Step 3. And finally post pictures of your vehicle

We recommend to do some cropping and resizing though before posting to the web.

Attention! Car trunk should be photographed entirely. Mileage must necessarily be displayed close up, to be able to see the numbers. All photos will be on the scale, what you need to post them!

If you make photos followed by these steps, your car will receive a great chance to be seen by a lot of customers and will be sold faster. Good luck!

Have you ever thought on having your car in less than two weeks transit time? Our air shipping service can assist you with that!

How it works: Our shipping department will provide you first with a quote and possible scheduled routes for the flight. Once confirmed, one of our licensed drivers will pick up your vehicle and deliver it to the exit airport. Please note that we also offer enclosed truck service at an additional cost per client's request. Once the vehicle is at the exit port, the airline will confirm the flight # after your car has cleared customs and we will provide you with all tracking information when your car is on route.

It's just a reminder. We will leave it here:

Please note that Ports of America changed its regulations in regards to NON DRIVABLE and EXTENSIVE DAMAGED vehicles. Please note that Auction Export uses container shipping for all extensive damaged, non drivable vehicles that have to be forklifted and are going to WEST AFRICA. All drivable vehicles without visible extensive damage will sail by RORO as usual, vehicles that are non drivable and do not have extensive damage will be accepted by RORO TOWABLE. Port of destination stays the same as Tincan Port for Nigeria.

5 Reasons to Buy a Car as a Christmas Gift

No matter how old we are, we always have a child inside us. Therefore, with age a sense of anticipation and celebration does not change, so the adult has more serious desires and more expensive toys. I mean, for example, who doesn`t want to get a car for Christmas?
If someone doubts, especially for you there is a list below:
5 reasons that car is a best Christmas gift

1. If you are looking for Christmas gifts already, you should think about New Year too. What could be better than enter the New Year on a new car? Besides, such present is not cheap. In the New Year, you can have nothing to give. You can present one gift both for Christmas and New Year.

2. The global economy question. Perhaps this is the best gift for Christmas, because especially at this time, all global brands and companies delight their customers by crazy discounts! There is nothing bad and suspicious about this. Thus, the large companies simply do not lose their customers and try to multiply the new one.

3. It is the most universal gift! You don`t need to think day and night what to give. If there are no financial problems (each month you responsibly postponed the required amount from the salary) it can be a great general gift for the whole family. Also, the question of economy can be solved successfully. Such gift will be appreciated by any of the family: husband- businessman, housewife, child-student and grandparents. Moreover, buying a car is not a waste of money just for fun, it is always a safe investment in the future. Especially if you buy a good car.

4. Giving a car, you give an assistance. From this moment you begin to keep up with a lot more work, as to get to the office without stopping, to help the family, to have more time for your hobbies.

5. Car is the most memorable gift that says about your care. Having made such a gift you say that you don`t want your loved stand at bus stops for hours. Such a gift cannot be forgotten, first because it is associated with Christmas. It cannot be eaten and forgotten) And most important: it will remind the person who give it for many years.

Happy Holidays !

How to Buy and Export car from the USA

If you are going to import motors vehicles or motorcycles from the United States, first make sure you are aware of current import regulations in your home country. Taking a car from the USA is a relatively simple and profitable business, especially for residents of those countries in which the automotive industry is not well-developed or marked as absent at all.

The whole process of buying and exporting cars from American automobile market can be taken in a few stages.

First stage is finding a safe international shipping company. You need to verify whether the company you are seeking to do business with is completely legit. These precautions will reduce any risk of frauds and scams.

The main method to verify the reliability is to check its profile on the official website of Better Business Bureau. BBB is a well-known North American organization that ensures safe marketplace where customers and sellers can trust each other. Everyone in the United States knows about this website. You сфт find it on the Web and search the company name or telephone in the search directory of the website. If the name of the company you are searching for - shows, the company can be deemed trustworthy.

Second stage is to get to know your country’s permits and regulations. This is a complex subject, because it talks about taxation in different countries. There are two major groups of clients, seeking to buy a vehicle from the United States. First group consists of people living in the USA, who want to send a car to their beloved relatives or partners residing in another country. In this case, the best solution is to contact the embassy of that country in the Washington, DC for most embassies are located there.

The second part that intend on exporting cars are people outside the U.S. these people need to look up for current regulations on official websites with .gov domain.

The third stage of purchasing process involves finding a car. Plenty options will be opened for you once you decided what vehicle you need. But it is strongly advisable to check the history background of a chosen car even if the car seems a smoking deal to you. If online seller is reliable and, like, established, they will provide you with a condition report. Just make sure to ask for it.

The last step is arranging payment. Many online car sellers accept money in multiple ways. Most definitely, one of the payment methods they will be offering you is bank wire transfer. The second one is credit card payment.

If you arranged everything carefully, you will be hearing the jingle of your car keys shortly after placing your order. A purchase can be considered successful if you got exactly what you saw.
