President Goodluck Jonathan Tuesday suggested the establishment of a Hall of Shame where documents, names of criminals and societal misfits could be sourced to serve as a deterrent to those nursing the idea of criminality in the country.

Jonathan made the proposal while responding to the request of the Legends of Nollywood, led by its Chairman Paul Obaziele at the Presidential Villa.

They were at the Villa to confer the honour of the Grand Patron of the body on the president.

According to Jonathan, immortalising the names of criminals in the proposed Hall of Shame would make families and youths to stay away from crime so as to prevent their names from being soiled.

I heard you saying that you are planning a Hall of Fame; I think we should start thinking of having a hall of shame where the names of criminals would be written.

This will serve as a deterrent to those who may want to indulge in criminal activities as they would not want to soil their family names" Jonathan said.

He said actors and actresses in the film industry had contributed to the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

.

suprising a word like this can come out from a man that;
freed a woman that jumped protocol spending N255million on cars without any trial.

Gave a criminal(Alamiesegha) a presidential pardon.

Empowered militants financially and politically giving them the gut to verbally threaten the peace of the nation.

Fraternized with a looter(muhammad Abacha) for a second term endorsement.

Didn't order the trial and prosecution of Abdurasheed Maina, the man behind the disappearance of billions of naira of pension savings.

Believes stealing is categorically different from corruption.

That means the list will include most of his campaign fund donors, some PDP bigwigs.

No, because he has asked anyone who has any corruption charge against him to come out openly and talk, but no one has come out yet to challenge him.

Jonathan is seriously confused and in dire need of a sincere applause. It's been years since he made any pronouncement that appeals to the people.

He and his media aides simply make random and unwitty statements these days.

That will be a good idea but not after giving presidential pardon to the likes of Alameisegha, Bode George, maina, the pension criminal. Not after giving presidential protection to stella Oduah, Deziani Alison, Nyesom wike, maduekwe, fuel subsidy criminals, making criminals like Tompolo, Asari dokubo etc multi millionaires

Don't mind the deceitful clueless!

1. He does not know that this is not 2011 when unsuspecting Nigerians trusted him, sympathized with him and EXPECTED him to steer the country away from the corrupt and inglorious past, but he failed to do that.

2. Instead, he CHOSE to align with the same corrupt elements we had expected him to fight and tell them, on our behalf, that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Most regrettably, the thieving elite are now even MORE EMBOLDENED to loot with even GREATER IMPUNITY than ever before.

3. His WORDS and DEEDS have shown to them that he does NOT actually give a damn about their frenzied looting, as long as they would help him win re-election in return.

4. So in reality, if there is any such a hall of shame, who else DESERVES to occupy the VERY TOP of it if not his VERY CLOSE political associates, financiers and supporters - the likes of Alamiesegha, Bode George, Al-Mustapha, Asari Dokubo, Stella Oduah, Diezani and others?

5. And when a leader's BODY LANGUAGE ENCOURAGES CORRUPTION (apologies to Tambuwal); when his CONSCIENCE does not tell him that it is NOT RIGHT for a leader to appear so TOLERANT of corruption and so closely ASSOCIATED with the CORRUPT elements of the society, then WHERE ELSE does the name of that leader himself rightly belong, if not on the very top of any hall of shame that there might be?

At his age, if he hasn't grown balls, there's no hope. Besides won't he and madam top the list, with obj coming second?
