Hello music fans! i downloaded d limewire software, but all d songs i downloaded re not playing on my windows media player, Also i cant convert them to wma files using NERO startsmart software, gosh!!! any help

i downloaded an mp3 format music,i also downloaded a wma file, all just wont play on my media player. help!

maybe the files you downlaoded have been corrupted! if its corrupted. u cant play it!

hey! wen i try to play d file,its say d file has an extension dat does not match d file format. then it tries to open a website like dat, probs d file is corrupt or sumtin.omo its painin me cos i just got some of d best jamz in my life.now i cant play it. , u use limewire too @lalaboi

and are you sure its mp3? if its mp4, windows media might not play unless it has the codec for it.

go to the folder the files are.

right click on the song. go to properties and check the format of the song

You dey miss yarn, You will say you have not gone for to that extent. I never come online since yesterday, i should have reply you back. What i mean is that maybe it was secure. Maybe when they were converting the mp3 they added security to it with Windows Media player.

olodo! u mean it was protected! DRM protected. lol

even if its DRM protected, it will play on windows media but will not play on any normal mp3 player

What Windows Media Player version are you using?
Maybe u need to download codecs for the media player. Just download the K-Lite Codec Pack from www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm

When downloading with LimeWire, download only the songs with bitrates. The ones without bitrates are dummies(not working).

Better yet, register with iTunes and download authentic songs for $1.00 each.
